- The Cleveland Browns are coming off a massive upset due in no small part to rookie Dawand Jones. Jones played at an extremely high level for the Browns all day. The prospects for the Cleveland Browns season get better and better with Dawand Jones continuing to emerge.

The thing about Dawand Jones is forget he is even out there, because I never hear his name which is awesome means he is doing a great job.
It’s that sad state of affairs for offense lineman, such a thankless job. The better you do your job the less people know about you! He is killing it!
Can’t believe the rest of the league let this man drop til the 5th round. Crazy.
@joh61390 funny you said that I was thinking the same thing wonder if he could transition to left tackle. Maybe working with BILL Carnahan?? We will have to wait and see, that would be awesome.
@@Dickson_Sider 4th round*
@@Dickson_Sider He was pick #111...the 9th pick in the 4th rd.
One of the best steals of the draft. Excellent footwork he moves like a basketball player out there amazing for a guy his size. Kudos to the Browns scouts.
The day he was drafted, I watched his film and told everyone it was best I ever scouted. I am a draftnik and watch a lot of film just for fun, but he looks exactly like the same player he was in college. With more experience, there won't be anything anyone can do to beat him. His arms are too damn long and he is too big.
reminds me of Allonzo Spellman
Yeah that's a monster alright.
He doesn’t have near the same overall ability, but he reminds of Jonathan Ogden. Just a huge body with even longer arms who is almost impossible to get around due to taking up so much space…. Not to mention being a dancing bear. Great talent
@@bigde131you’re on
Crack if you’re don’t think he has potential to be a Johnathan Ogden clone in the next 3-5 years
Loved this kid as a buckeye too. I think he will only get better as he learns
Makes it all that much sweeter
What's amazing is that he was a late addition to his recruiting class. He is another 3-Star success story that OSU took a chance on him and it really worked out for them.
Wouldn’t surprise me to see Jones at left tackle next year
I’ve seen his hoop highlights..big man can move. Great touch, nice footwork, good hops. Football players that can hoop too are a rare breed. Mad respect for his game.
Julius Peppers was good enough to start for North Carolina in his college days, and UNC was a top 5 team in that timeframe as well. I agree with the observation thing sir 🤙🏾
i feel like that highlight tape should have made him a first rounder. Dude was so big and moved and so well
and he fell to the 4th round all because people slandered his work ethic. meanwhile andrew berry and bill callahan said he's one of the hardest working linemen on the team
Yeah they said he loved basketball to much, its also the reason hes so good for his size.
"People" = Steelers.
@@blas1anwhen ur an athlete sheeeit id like basketball more tooo. More money 😂😂
Yeah but he allowed 0 sacks in college in his whole career. @@MohammadAli-be7jd
He fell to the fourth because the only other tackle his size had an awful rookie season.
I love how excited he got on that 4th down
I loved Big Thanos coming out of the draft. I even rated him OT1. He is an athletic bully & a mountain of a man. Give him the whole off season to practice & he can be LT1.
P.S......Kudo's to Coach Callahan
Jones is not only athletic but his arms are so insanely long that you have to take the scenic route to get around him
That and you can't run through him.
I believe the Browns got the steal of the draft. When they got Dawand
Jones, he is going to be a hall of fame player.
Big Thanos didn't completely flub the pre-draft process- since being a fourth round pick means he gets to that second contract sooner. He may have left some money on the table in the short term, but he didn't get hurt before the draft and is showing that he is well above average among all nfl tackles. Watching DJ gives me that child-like joy of smashing Tonka trucks into each other, he's just the most powerful person on the filed.
I had to laugh when you drew and arrow pointing to him. He is the easiest player to pick out ever. Reminds me of Andy Reid at the Punt, Pass, and Kick.
Your specificity advanced my skill set for viewing Browns' offensive sets and celebrating the offensive line's Dawand Jones. Well done!
Once I saw a picture of him standing next to a normal player, I knew he'd be a beast.
Would be great if Joe Thomas was contacted ( or even better reached out to by Dawand or vice versa) to work with Jones to continue refining his game. Can you imagine this guy under the tutelage of Joe Thomas, learning all the veteran tricks and training and film study required to become a Hall of Fame lineman? Sheesh. One can dream... 😂🤙🏾
Joe lives around the Browns facility, there's no way he hasn't given some tips over the past 6 months
That’s already happened during camp
Itd be cool if after callahan retires, if joe thomas became our oline coach
Lets pray that day is far in the future@@jasonnevel4142
Been saying for years Browns need to draft more Buckeyes and except qb's not just because they are Buckeyes but because many times it is positions we need and they are very good players. Also players with Ohio ties look at Clay Mattews Jr passed on him 2 times, how good would it had been to have had him coming out of college!
Fr hometown kids play harder
100% agree
Absolutely ridiculous boring homer take.
@OSUBoxkator guess what you may be right but the bottom line is winning so what is the issue???
@@monteitoney1938 because you're trying to draw correlations that don't exist
Last play is painful to watch knowing Chubb would have walked right through that gap.
Yeah there were multiple times where it’s obvious he just doesn’t have the vision that Chubb has. To be fair though, anyone is gonna be a let down stepping into Chubb’s shoes
Yeah Chubb is a rare breed of RB dude averages 5.0 yac a SEASON
Wow man, he's already a beast. This will one of the best moves they've made in recent memory. I don't want to distract from Dawand but if you look at Jed Wills he's not doing too bad either.
Good content fellas! Sub'd! I was optimistic about Dawand after watching a #BaldysBreakdowns on him. A crazy game that finally was in the Browns favor?! I will pay blood sacrifice to the Football Gods in return for this Sunday's bounty..🙏
It's insane that when looking at the line and how much bigger Jones is compared to the other lineman lol dude is a monster!
I believe they'll find ways to make him even bigger and stronger, he and Teller almost impassable....Jones is insane.
Your analysis is great. MORE BROWNS DEFENSE PLEASE 🙏
Go browns
Big Thanos hit the 49ers with a whiff of that Brown and Orange Fairy Dust.
Ford was sure slow to hit that open hole
I remember when Aiden Hutchison wrecked him in that Michigan game multiple times but I gave credit to Jones He looks like a different player now I'd like to see him do a little more but right now he looks improved
Great job. I was hoping to run across a DJones breakdown. Wanted to get an opinion of the Bosa sack but o well. Also as a rookie he doesn't seem to rack up penalties either.
I watched the film.. Duwand looks great. How many times did Stefanski have Harrison Bryant block Bosa 1 on 1? That's what sticks out to me. WTH kind of coaching is that?
Besides, why have a blocking TE who weighs 230 & gets steamrolled? They need to draft one who is 6-5, 260.
Good thing Belichick didn’t pick him up when the Pats had no actual solution at Right Tackle. Instead the Genius picked a backup Center from D1AA
As a Titans fan I'm crying in the club right now
the 9ers got bullied on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball.
nice breakdown on the plays
I take it that it doesn't count as holding, when you pin the defensive end to the ground, and ride him till he taps out?🤣
Browns got a steal. Berry/Stefanski have done a great job steadying the ship and eliminating the chaos. Don't get enough credit.
the screen play that you stated was "lazy" from Dawand Jones, you can argue that we was giving the D lineman the thought that he won the rep so he could attempt to get to the QB. This would then put the D lineman in a bad position because the ball is now out of the QBs hands and into the player intended on the screen play. Couldve been scheemed
I couldn't help looking over at jed through this video, dare i say...he earned his pay sunday! He stop bosa as well! Overall loving the growth with jones!
Big man Jones 👍🏈 Go Buckeyes National championship 🇺🇸🏈 Go Brown's Super Bowl
The holding call on the screen to Njoku that resulted in a TD was complete BS. I don’t want to hear any crying from Frisco fans about the officiating costing them the game.
That Def. End got pancaked
5:33 Dunn does a nice job also
Very impressive work by Dawand Jones.
It is amazing how much bigger he is than the other huge guys around him...he makes Bosa look short..and a little thin...just wow
he makes Bosa look like a safety
The best 6 DB'S IN THE NFL
Great work!
poor jed wills got put on skates in the first clip jeez man
Poor Jed my butt. He's just too lazy to care. Replace him asap, I say.
Only thing messed up is we just paid Conklin
Is it, "lazy" or calculated? A big man like that only has so much to give. He knows how to conserve his energy, which is another feather in his cap, not a detriment to his game.
He's doing a better job than Willis 😅
Unsung hero.....?......ABSOLUTELY
He's ragdolling bosa wow
I didn't hear Bosa's name that whole game until the 4th quarter with 4 minutes left in the game I didn't even think Bosa was even playing dead serious lol
Dawand is their only hope at OT right now, because Wills & Hudson are really bad. Draft one next year- early.
Legend!! Shame Berry wasted money on Conklin who been on IR more than games his whole time with Browns. Shame
Big thanos snapping away bosa. Legendary nick name if he continues
Jones is a mountain of a human being
Big Thanos
Looking like the Myles Garrett of the o line
First play, Jones looked great. Did you see how badly Wills got punked though? This alarms me. A lot.
There's one problem. It's too many men on the field. Jones counts as two.
Draft pick of the year! Now let Tillman play.
Can he play on the left side?
With an entire off season to practice, why not? Hire Joe Thomas to work with him.
The 3 minute mark is the defensive player trying to get a penalty. I think Jones is amazing for a rookie, but the d-player is grabbing his arm and didn't actually trip on himself.
Biggest steal of the draft. Fellow Buckeye CJ Stroud is tremendous, but the 2nd-overall pick isn't exactly a steal.
I'm surprised jones didn't get called for illegally being down the field.
On which play? He can be as far down as he wants on a run play.
Jones leaned greatness at Ohio State University .
The biggest issue is they must stay consistent.
What’s crazy is that micheal Dunn the backup olinemen for Joel was playing on a bum calf
Right, that’s right@@katk3452
Hoping his big size doesn't cause him injuries
Next year if Conklin comes back healthy, could Jones be our answer to the LT problem?
Not necessarily. While we think it’s easy to transition from RT to LT, just look at Willis, a converted RT.
Give him a whole off season to practice with an expert, (can anyone say Joe Thomas?). I'll bet he can.
"Other human beings who are supposedly really good at football." LOL LOL
Play was pretty much dead before Warner could even make a play
I figured the Referees were the unsung here’s in this game. 🤔
Browns need to switch him to the blindside
First play: Watch Dawand. OK, now watch Jed Wills. Enough said...
So do they practice him at left for shits and giggles
Good study but you are way too repetitive. Speed it up.
This is great film breakdown.
Chubb would have hit that run. I ford doesn’t have good field vision to me
god i miss him
With fords speed he needs to just hit the gap and burst through it he dances around too much
@@poetryforsome3915 i believe it’s his vision and possibly awareness . Reminds me of Trent Richardson. Can’t see the open run lanes and the awareness
Steal
I don’t know how your supposed to get past a guy like that he makes everyone else look like toddlers
Browns cruched these SF boys period
He had a phenomenal game ABSOLUTELY !....But guys slow the row...Quit placing bronze orders for Canton every time a player has a really good game !....I swear we as Browns fans get too carried away with ONE good game......Not trying to be the stick in the mud here but let's see them do it uh maybe two or three games in a row before we start booking our plane tickets to the Super Bowl....Just saying !
He's been very good all year. At least there's some hope at one OT position.
