- One of the six surviving chaconnes by the composer, it is one of his best known organ works. Here the work is performed by Vadim on a Steinway grand piano live at a public piano recital at the Richard Strauss villa in the Bavarian town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen on August 11, 2017.

No information concerning the date of composition is known. Since the piece is more sophisticated than most other chaconnes, it may represent a late stage of development of Pachelbel's chaconne style.
The chaconne comprises a theme and 22 variations, the last of which is an almost exact repeat of the theme. The ostinato bass pattern is not kept intact in all variations, and disappears in some, anticipating similar passages in Johann Sebastian Bach's famous Passacaglia and Fugue in C minor, BWV 582. Pachelbel's variation technique serves to "dissect" the harmonies, rather than vary the "theme", which is typical of his mature chaconnes, including the Chaconne in D minor and the Chaconne in F major. The Chaconne in F minor has been described as one of Pachelbel's finest works. (from Wikipedia)

My parents had a record with Pachelbel's canon and other works by Pachelbel. As a teenager, I went to listen to the canon for the nth time, but I left the record player running and the second piece started. It was this Chaconne in F, played by a string quartet. I found it absolutely haunting. It spoke to me in a way no music had ever done. I listened to it several times, at full volume on the living room stereo when my parents were out. I danced to it. I *never* dance. Then I left my parents' home and went to live by myself. I thought about that music from time to time, but had forgotten its name. I remembered it was by Pachelbel but nobody I spoke to knew about it. I started to think I had imagined it. Years later I was by myself at an organ concert and the organist started playing it. Floodgates opened in my mind . Memories of my teenage years engulfed me. I just lost it and started crying. My neighbors asked me I was all right at the end, I told them I was more than all right. I had not dreamed it, it was real and it was called the Chaconne in F. Nobody knows about any of this, I never told it to anyone.

I got chills when I read your story about this Pachelbel Chaconne! I'm primarily an organist and was introduced to this work when I bought a CD of organist Piet Kee playing it on the stunning Gabler organ in the Weingarten Basilica in Germany, and I've loved this piece ever since, though I've never played it.

Cette chaconne est pour moi comme un poème. Peut-être un poème sur le poids des ans, de leurs bonheurs comme de leurs malheurs ; le vécu. Pachelbel devait être d'un âge assez avancé quand il a composé ça.

Pachelbel was a genius and people only know about Canon in D. This piece is one of his forgotten work and it's beautiful.

Хорошее исполнение, моя любимая чакона. Играла на экзамене, и сейчас иногда играю в своём костеле на постлюдиум. На органе звучит иначе, меньше чувств, как ни странно.

Мое любимое клавирное произведение, вообще! (Его спокойно можно играть в две руки на клавесине или фортепиано). Ничего тоньше и изысканнее в эпоху барокко, по-моему, никто не писал. Исполнение, на мой взгляд, черезчур романтичное. У Пахельбеля сила в простоте и ясности. Еще мне кажется, что ее не следует слишком дробить на различные куски с различным характером и настроением. Тут вариации, скорее, вытекают одна из другой и как дерево постепенно разрастаются. Но это дело вкуса. Все равно, большое спасибо!

Все украшения в эпоху барокко （особенно в предбаховскую） всегда исполняются с акцентом только на первую ноту.
Есть и еще целый ряд стилистических особенностей, которых, увы, большинство пианистов （и не только）не знает, продолжая исполнять музыку эпохи барокко в академическом стиле, опираясь исключительно на собственное восприятие авторского текста.
Звучит в общем-то неплохо для транскрипции, хотя и слишком романтизированно.
צריך מונוכרום ליצירות רק משמאל לפסנתר מקדימה לא על הפסנתר כמו זה מבזה. עם שולחן גבוה עם 4 רגליים יפה לא עמוד. בעיקר למלחינים. תמציאו שם. ביבלומונוכרום וביבלוסימפונוטייבל.
