- The first performance of Shanghai Disneyland's castle show "Golden Fairytale Fanfare" after the grand opening on June 16th was Sunday, June 19th due to scaffolding around the castle for the opening ceremony. This was a "magic moment" show at 9:15am, an hour earlier than the first posted showtime. Complete with technical difficulties!

Good show. But why put in Brave instead Beauty and the Beast or Lion King.
Yeah I wondered that too. Beauty and the beast and lion king are two of my favorites. (probably because I grew up in the 90s lol)
A lot of the properties that were chosen for Shanghai are based off of their success in and relevance to China. Much like how the Alice maze is based off the live action movie and not the animated one because it wasn't released there. Movie perform differently in other countries.
Oh my God the Merda part was great love the horse love the sprites!
I know the theme was gold... But does anyone else have a major problem with the costumes, or is it just me ? Like I can't even.
Yellows and golds are hard colors to portray elegantly and there are just too many conflicting shades on these costumes! Belle (not here) and Snow White may be the only ones who can pull it off, everyone else wears blues and greens for a reason. A different choice of colors and the textures wouldn't look so gaudy. I've seen similar embellishments on the Disney Store dolls that kind of worked?

Oh this is so fun!! Its really cool to listen to and watch Disney parks things, but have it be in a different language and culture. Kinda eye opening as well, because I forget that Disney isn't just in the US, and so to see other Disney parks celebrations are really cool!

I loved Ariel's tail in this one! In my opinion the parks never do a good job with the tail, making it look strange and cheap. But this was beautiful. I love the added fabric on it, making it seem more soft and underwater-y.

Jasmine and Aladdin sounded the same in this show as they did in the movie
I love the dwarfs and that Anna is more included in this one! I wish she had more of a part at the WDW show, so I like this one!

Oh trust us, we don't! Lol just met up with her the other day and she is so adorable and amazing! I make it a point to meet Anna every time we go to Epcot! She's one of the best characters to meet!

THIS SHOW IS AWESOME. i love the fountain effects for elsa and ariel and i love the special outfits especially jasmine's merida's and elsa's at the end

I cried so much! The prolific use of red and yellow makes me miss China a lot. I also agree with Abe's "ooooo yeah" when you can tell Ariel is coming. He knew the show was just going to get better.

Don't worry! Most, if not all, cast members speak English and signs and menus and other text are written in both English and the native language of every Disney park!
