@SuperBabyMario0C Daman doesn't really have the same range that Chris did, especially in the higher pitches. When he tries to scream or laugh you can hear it start to strain his voice which ends up making his Frieza sound more raspy and closer to a male. 1st form Frieza in his pod is lowkey my favorite Frieza. Ayers makes him sound particularly slimey and snake-like in these early scenes. It's a great forboding vibe for him!
Prob unintentional as this was Ayres first time as Frieza, but I like how Ayres made Frieza sound more feminine in his first appearance to bridge in the jump from Linda Young to him as Frieza
it’s interesting to hear Ayres get used to Freeza in the beginning before he settles on the final voice. he never sounds quite so high-pitched as in this scene again!
Freeze’s changed a few times in this scene. Guess not only were the actors of Freeza, Dodoria, and Zarbon getting used to their parts in the English dub but the Japanese animators back then were still getting adjusted to things as well.
