    I bought one of their 6000w inverters as all of the sockets failed on first use. Plastic failed. And they won’t stand by the warranty.

    • @JOHNDANIEL1

      Which model? I had 3 inverters of 3 brands all do that in under a month due to some supplier of those pop in AC sockets all being crap. One was a small 1000 watt Swipower, one a 2500 Voltronics and one a 4000 Novapal. I ordered a 20 pack of replacements and so far have used half of them in some other inverters.

      Generally they do for the internal parts meaning item no longer works or can not be owner repaired such as terminals or fuses or ??. Seems they all have a fine print section that made in invisible ink. But I agree that a lot of inverter brands shipped tons with sub standard USA outlets on lots of inverters and none are offering to fix it. As it was told to me by Novopal they were to follow new USA guidelines of plastics allowed under some california enviro laws that made them weaker. Like a Veggie Oil based poly junk or something. The replacements are not regulated so I bought plenty.

I took some classes on electricity work when i was in the marines but i didn't take it seriously enough and just kinda memorize what i needed to to pass the tests. This has me actually learning stuff.

    Very informative as to see the buck boost improved the appliance performance--which is good to know about on future projects I have in mind. I am seriously thinking on getting a 2000 watt Xija 24 volt inverter for my small 300 amp hour (soon to be 400 amp hours) solar set up. I have a 2000 watt 12 volt inverter running on 2 awg cables from the batteries. A 24 volt inverter would mean I wont have to change the cables and would be safer to use. That also means I will be adding two more 100 watt solar panels to the set up for a total of 600 watts. After that there is no more room for solar panels.

    • @JOHNDANIEL1
      @JOHNDANIEL1  หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Yes, do some converting and re wiring the panels and get a solution for yourself.

      The main reason it works a little better is voltage support and it backs up the item preventing sag caused by using DC power.

      Numerous test on these is when you exceed much over 16 volts you damage the items. Peak safe voltage is 16 and that is why 15.3 is excellent outcome.

      Everything on almost every new vehicles and power stations use 10 amp "power ports" since its not P.C. to have the old school 15 and 20 amp evil cigarette lighter sockets anymore. They even done this now to all RV's since 2012 due to some clown who got elected then to thwart your free will options.

     @JOHNDANIEL1 hmm, have a very rudimentary set up using a xt60i plug with alligator clips plugged straight into my tiny Ecoflow river 3. provides 100 watts, max solar input. Now I am getting a bigger AC180-- 1152 wh Bluetti that has max solar input of 10 amps and 500 watts, was planning on doing what sounds like you are saying not to but if the Bluetti is pulling 10 amps at 24v whats the problem if im within the perimeters of the little step up module? Are you saying it's going to attempt to pull more than 10 amps?

    • @theGiggityGiG-is2kx
      @theGiggityGiG-is2kx 13 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Like people buy a step up that is 12 to 36 volt 5 amps and their power station can do say 500 watts or 10 amps. It will pull 360 watts or max out the amperage it can for the volts it is receiving? And the 12v to 36v 5 amp can only handle 180 watts is now being asked for 360 because it is providing 36v and the power station can do up to 10 amps so will pull 10 amps and whatever voltage being provided. So, if I have a unit that can handle 10 amps or 500 watts and I had a step up that is 12v to 24v 20 amp it should be fine, correct?

      @@stevenshircliff393 They idle at under 10 watts of power, the Prototype with the new control boards had a standby of 4.8 watts with is insane low. The production model you will get around 8 watts idle since it has 15% larger Caps, Panasonic made Polypropylene Film Capacitors now, and they are using a closer 8 staging PNP design to allow it to ramp up to full power much faster. Only 6 companies out of about 30 send me things and take the advice on design like they do. That is why they have been around almost 20 years making inverters and other power control driver equipment.

      I have been buying PTC elements to make one with cast iron, but the problem is how to balance and attach. So working on that, it will cook at 25 to 28 amps DC and 2 settings around 250 and 375 degrees when done. Seems attaching the PTC elements to a 1/4" thick aluminum base with some insulated bottom then using it on the cast iron is only option without welding onto the cast.

    How to salvage battery wear to buy ❤

    • @JOHNDANIEL1
      @JOHNDANIEL1  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Are you looking to buy the returns and damaged items? You can buy them by directly contacting the battery brands and asking for them to send you all returns and warranty fails that would be normally returned to Amazon. You pay the shipping, they divert the return to you to get the item. It is a roll of the dice in about 1 of 10 items, meaning 1 in 10 is total loss. The other 9 it salvageable or totally easy fix.
