Dude, I managed to collect ALL of the pieces. I think my dad threw it out or gave it away when I was a kid but I bet that set is worth a lot now.
I am so surprised none if those little handheld video games were on here! I used to love those things and somehow found a way to play them for hours on car trips and nit get bored.

OMG they had Neopets toys? O.O Sucks that we didn't have most of these in my country (which is in Europe). We only had the food edition toys but they were different and the Furbies which looked different too.
In Guatemala I used to go to the market and this women sold toys and we had her hold aside the neopet toys for me and my friend and she would sell them for super cheap. To this day, I have a GARBAGE bag full of neopet toys somewhere in my house

I had that launching batmobile for 20+ years. the best fast-food toy ever.
Some of these I remember seeing as a kid and thinking they were completely lame. The transforming happy meal toys I saw in flea markets for years always in this old cruddy packaging. The tamagotchi ones were goofy looking to my kid-self(the makeover later for the series looking more awful, I loved tomagotchi as a kid too!).

In Mexico we also had plushies around Xmas time when I was a kid. One year we had Peanuts plushies (Snoopy, Woodstock and Charlie Brown in different Christmassy attires), another year we had Garfield plushies (Garfield and Oddie as Santa, an elf or an angel), and another we had Looney Tunes (Bugs, Daffy, Sylvester, Taz and Tweety Bird in Winter clothes, scarves and snow hats and the like). But this was over twenty years ago. Miss those days.
I'm surprised that the inspector gadget toys weren't on this list. Each one did some thing, and in the end you'd have a giant toy.

You know where your life's going when you and your full grown coworkers are listing your favourite McDonald's toys.
I fondly remember the 100 Years of Magic Disney figure set when they had characters ranging from Steamboat Willie all the way to Atlantis the Lost Empire. I got Mickey in his Disney World suit on the first try. That was one of the best Happy Meal sets.
In my opinion, the best Happy Heal promotion was the Happy Birthday Happy Meal from 1994. That one had so many awesome franchises; Sonic the Hedgehog, Muppet Babies, Tiny Toon Adventures, Peanuts, Berenstain Bears, and many more. I still have some of the toys from that promotion, specifically the Sonic, Peanuts, and Ronald McDonald ones from my childhood.
I've always liked the Tiny Toon Adventures flip-car toys when I was a kid, and the only other cartoon to have its own set of flip-car toys was "101 Dalmatians: The Series".
My favourite always comes around every year, the Halloween pail. When Happy Meals start getting served in these you know there’s not much long to wait until the day you finally get to put on your costume and get some free candy!
Grew up in the 80's & 90's with dad working for McD's. The Animaniacs & 101 Dalmatians (literally) would have been in my list. There was also a Fry Guys collection before the McNugget Buddies that was pretty cool.
I remember the plethora of mini-Barbies (I had a Japanese-themed one), the McNugget Buddies, the Tomagatchi keychains, the Changeables (I had the red carton of fries), the Disney figures, and the Teeny-Beanies. I also remember (not on the list) those Halloween buckets that you decorate with stickers, and those vintage Disney glasses.
Being a kid at McDonald's was awesome. They have some really bad toys now. I think one of the best I've seen in recent years were little versions of classic kids' books. Not really a toy, but still a great idea.
The 90s & early 00s were the best toys. Its what i grew up on. Im a 95 baby & i miss it so much.

My best memories with McDonalds toys here in Denmark, was when you could collect our national football team as mini figures, when you could collect Snoopy statues, with a different nationality, where I got 25 out of 30 and when you could get some electronic Crash or Spyro game. :)

In my opinion the happy meal line for Super Mario Bros 3 was the best. It was a toy line for a game that lived up to its unparalleled hype. The looney tunes ones were also good, too.
I remember the Barbie toys from back then as well as the Tamagotchi keychains and those Teenie Beanies (I think I still have a few of those around my room). I think I also played with one of those Tiny Toon racers and that Penguin Car from Batman Returns when I was a kid. Good times.
One huge win with Happy Meal toys happened in the early 1980s. Little Golden Books! I still have my copy of The Poky Little Puppy! You can't go wrong with classic literature!
Yay! Changeables and Nugget Buddies made the list! The Fry Guys should've at least gotten honorable mention.
Ah the early to mid 2000’s. I remember every month waiting for the commercials for the newest Happy Meal Toys just so I could hear that particular commercial’s rendition of “Bud-A-Ba-Ba-Ba”!

They left out the Bionicle Tohunga sets and the Inspector Gadget toys that you had to collect to make a full size gadget. That was just genius
My favorite McDonald's toy will always be the Madame Alexander dolls. I used to own the whole Wizard of Oz set from McDonald's. Too bad we got the of them years ago, I loved those things.
I remember the Sonic the Hedge Hog ones, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Tiny Toons and as early as Batman. I had the penguin toy.. lol

I love how almost all the toys on this list are from the 90s. Happy Meal toys nowadays just don't have the same quality or imagination.

Oh COME ON. The Changeables were by far the best toys. The Teeny Beanies may have been the most popular but they were still just cloth with stuffing. Put that next to a Big Mac that turns into a robot. There's no contest!
I remember them at one point having McDonalds themed mini-lego sets, like in the little bag, came with the lego bricks and instructions to build something like a plane or car. I think this was around 1999 or 2000
My fave happymeal toys were the Mister Men & Little miss cuddly toys they had back in.. 1999'ish in the UK.

I'd like to shout-out the toys that tied into the Disney movie Dinosaur. Those full sized hand puppets were the best.

A couple years ago I found a bag of McDonald's teenie beanies at the Goodwill store. I got 40 for about $5. Turned around and sold them on eBay for just shy of $100!!

I remember one year for Halloween when I was a kid burger king's kid's meal had these collectible Simpson's Tree House of Horror toys. I had an insane asylum truck with sideshow bob. I remember he was on a gurney in a straight jacket and you would put him in the back and press a button and the doors would open and launch sideshow bob out the back.
I remember I got a unicorn mini beanie 2.0 when I was a kid in a happy meal, then I got a similar one that was the normal beanie size.

This year at Mcdonald's in Japan, they had something called teenie beanie boos in English. Annunciated the same in Japanese. They were wild animals. I collected all 8.

Kinda surprised the McDonald's NHL cards wasn't considered for this list I remember all the times when I was a kid going to McDonald's and the hockey cards was the happy meal toy during the winter months it sucks they don't do that anymore
Anyone remember the 6 part Captain Hook pirate ship? Each boat section had a character from Peter Pan and could be played with separately but you could attach them to make the complete ship. I lost track of the number of McDonald's we went to to get the last piece.
I used to have a lot of McFurbys (that's what I refer to them as), until my parents got rid of them. I hope to rebuild that collection eventually as I had at least 35 of them, if I got duplicates (whcih did happen), I make every dupe be related to the ones that I already got, although I still have one left somewhere...

I feel like the Beast Wars and My Little Pony(gen 2) toys should have had a mention. Even though there were only three MLP toys to collect being Ivy, Light Heart, and Sun Dance, I still loved them. They were definitely three of the cutest toys McDonalds had to offer back in the 90s. As for Beast Wars, even though they were targeted towards boys, that didn't stop me from enjoying them as well.
