Hey Smoky Mountain Family, just have to say my wife and I have along with our girls when they were growing up have stayed all over Gatlinburg for 46 years and our favorite is like yours, Riverhouse at the Park. You guys have said all the good things about it and I agree with it all. Just numerous reasons why we enjoy our stay here. Keep up the great work.

To best avoid the bitter cold and or the summer crowds, would early April be the best time for a visit? Keeping in mind we will have 13 and 14-year-old girls with us. We have booked a stay at the Margaritaville hotel for a few days this upcoming winter and were so excited to hear all of the great things that the hotel has to offer. I now the Margaritaville island hotel is AMAZING!!!!!! we stayed there because we were traveling from Missouri to north Caralina and we stayed for one night but when we left, we wished that we stayed longer and that the pool on the top floor was open and that we could swim in the pool on the top floor, but I hope that your trip was amazing
thanks for the video. September 2022, my wife and I did a 5 day second honeymoon getaway to Gatlinburg, and we picked Greystone on the River on your recommendation. We loved it. We had one of the Deluxe King rooms with a balcony overlooking the 'river' (I call it a creek). The free breakfast was just enough and satisfying. Room was clean. We loved the relaxing balcony. We did like that downtown was close and convenient, especially since our focus for this trip was Gatlinburg.
Excellent video & fantastic hotel options. My husband & I are planning a trip to Gatlinburg for our anniversary next year so videos like yours helps a lot with what to expect.
We just stayed at the Riverhouse for the third time during rod run absolutely love it! We don’t spend much time in our room when in Gatlinburg. The price was 119 a night. Nobody could believe that! Exceptionally clean and we love the feel of being almost in the national park. So looking forward to being back for the beautiful fall colors. Truly my favorite place in the world and I have seen a lot of the world!

Sshhh....you mentioned our favorite. You weren't supposed to tell anyone! Lol...the Appy has been awesome in 3 of our 4 visits. We also stayed there when it was still a Fairfield.

@Dulce-cm2kx yes. It is a bit dated but never has it been dirty. I mean it isn't spotless but imo it's good for me. It is cleaner than my house but I have 3 kids.
Love the Appalachian lodge. Few years ago we were staying there in the fall. They had a complimentary kettle of hot apple cider going in the lobby. A bear smelled it and walked in the back door right in the lobby. The staff ran him off.
THE BEARS SIDE OF THE STORY: The bear pulled up outside in his truck and said it has been an extremely long car ride I smell something good and went in the backdoor not knowing what a front door is and said I am going to taste whatever smells good walked in got some and the staff start making the bear go out and the bear is like what are you doing I want some of what smells good!!!!
We’ve stayed at the Comfort Inn on Dollywood Lane (aka the Bedbug Motel, my daughter was so bitten up from their infested rock-hard beds that we left and went somewhere else), The inn at apple valley (outstanding the first time because they surprise upgraded us to a king suite after over booking, just okay the second time), the Gatlinburg Baymont by the River (immaculate, my daughters favorite, only could afford because we used hotel points each stay), and the Sevierville Riverside (this is a fancy Super 8, we stayed there once and are staying there again next month, I scored two nights for $54 a night). I’m saving up to stay at the Inn at Christmas Place next year!
I have stayed at Edgewater before and I stayed there before they made it a high rise. I usually stay at Mountain Heritage Inn in my last several visits

Can you give me your thoughts on the Westgate Smokey Mountain resort and water park?? We’ll be going end of March with a 9 year old who loves water Parks. Are there better options that have a big indoor water park ? Thanks!
I’m not a big fan of Margaritaville. If you want an island vibe, don’t come to the mountains-go to the beach. Plus, they demolished a very nice older property (Twin Islands) to build it.
Have you stayed at some of the places around about a hundred some dollars a night and you have which ones are that the best ones to stay at around 130 some dollars a night have you stayed in any of them places if you are I like to know which ones are the best
We are wanting to try that one next summer! They seem to really take care of their place every time we go by there someone is always cleaning something ❤️
Nightly rates vary depending on the time of the year, weekdays weekends, holidays, etc... So what we paid on one night would not accurately reflect any other night's rates. We are just a TH-cam channel, not a travel agency. We paid for the rooms and spent hours filming and editing to provide free information to viewers. Don't feel like it's much to ask someone to click a link.
We've stayed at The Riverhouse and it was not a good experience. The rooms always have a musty smell, it's due to the carpets are worn and old. The fixtures in the bathrooms are dated and old. There's a reason it's inexpensive.

Our favorite hotel is Gatlinburg inn. You can't beat the location. The people are very friendly and we have stayed here for 12 years each summer.

The inn at Christmas place is totally worth it! We were thinking about doing a worst hotels and will keep these in mind

Graystone is an amazing place just stayed thre in August its was clean and roomy stayed in t tower section in back lot amazing balcony view

The best with the lower price we have found is Riverhouse in Gatlinburg and Norma Dan and park grove in pigeon forge

There are some, including the Park Vista, Quality Inn and Suites as well as Hilton Garden Inn. Google will also show others i'm sure.

We always stay at Jack Huff's Motor Lodge. Best hotel in Gatlinburg IMO. So very clean and updated. Also just steps to The Village.
We are wanting to try that one next summer! They seem to really take care of their place every time we go by there someone is always cleaning something ❤️
