I love the Tina/Syd moment because on one level it shows how Tina’s insecurity about cooking & what Syd will think sets in but also, on another level, that Tina is used to working hard and being overlooked and criticized. That the act of someone telling her she did a good job, esp when its from someone she’s butted heads with, puts a little smile on her face. When I saw this episode, I think I re-watched that scene multiple times to catch all the details from the subtle facial expressions, the music etc. Beautifully acted as well.
The thing about Tina is she was just scared to fail, so she didn’t want to try. Once she realizes she can do what she puts her mind to, she changes so much ❤

Tina starts out rough but I love her so much. In this upcoming new season Ayo Edebiri directs a Tina centered episode. I can’t wait honestly.
