I just got my girlfriend and I one. On a full charge we went exactly 26.7 miles. I weigh 170. That was with an average speed of 14.8 mph with hills. I am EXTREMELY impressed. Best money I’ve spent in a long time!
I took mine out for a test run yesterday. I’m disabled so its weight is intimidating. I can reach the ground just fine and I just had it drive mode to ride around my neighborhood, I didn’t go over nine miles per hour. It’s scary at first, it helps to know accelerating helps with balancing . It was a lot of fun and will need more practice.
Nice, I live in Queens and have had the Phantomgogo R1 for 3 years and it does not do well with hills, plus I've burned through 2 batteries. I'm interested to hear how it's holding up since you posted this comment.
I bought the Phantomgogo R1 in June 2021 and the battery lasted a little over a year. I bought a new battery and installed it and that one lasted a year and it never had the same power or distance the scooter had when it was new. Now they no longer have replacement batteries for this older model, so I'm looking around. The Phantom R1 is basically the same thing as this, but the stats are much better with the caroma. I paid $475 for the Phantom, but back then there was zero competition for sit down scooters. I had a knee injury that needed surgery so it was my mobility device. It served me well, but I would never buy another Phantomgogo. This one looks so much like the Phantom that I was worried it was crap, especially since it's cheaper, but I'm encouraged by the reviews. Hopefully it will last more than a year.
I've been contemplating the 750/1200w version, and I think your video just convinced me to go ahead and get it. Thank you for making this video 👍 This fills the void in my collection of PEV's. I built a 5000w 76v mini bike (45mph), a 1000w 48v kick scooter (30mph), and a custom electric skateboard built from an Exway Flex (26mph). This little Caroma scooter looks like the perfect thing to take to the campgrounds to cruise around on, or down by the beach, or just to throw in my truck and use as a last mile vehicle. Way more convenient to get in and out of my truck than my other ones (apart from the skateboard). Plus, it's a nice base for upgrades later. I'm sure at some point I'll change the motor, controller, and battery. Fun in the meantime at a great price! Thanks for the great video!
there is also a 1200w version available, you can see it there @3:00 too. the older display had speed on it but now its just battery. i cant decide between the adjustable height or fixed, but i like the looks of the fixed better, and it has an extra ramp over the rear that might help keep road splash off your legs better. appears it struggles a bit uphill, but at least it keeps moving, but i think i might still have to get one. cruising on the coast would be a blast, i live not far from carlsbad and it might actually make it there and back on 1 battery, maybe haha. thanks for the review, it was really helpful to see this scooter in action.
I think you should go with P1 with the 750w (peak 1200w) motor. It's a lot more power and with someone over 200lbs with a long steep driveway, it'll be much better.

@grh7399 the United States has placed a 20 mph maximum speed limit 9n all seated electric scooters which is more than fast enough especially on this particular model.
