When I lived in Florida many years ago, I was instructed by an old timer that when a hooked Tarpon jumps you have to give it some slack to keep it from throwing the hook. He said to extend the pole straight out in front of you and bend at the waist. He added that when the king jumps you bow.
Great time at beach bum outdoors! Wife and I just got outfitted BIG THANKS TO JEFF !GREAT GUY! Dropped some dimes, lol we will be back! Cause of Jeff it's worth the hour drive
I have followed you since covid when I was stationed in el paso and you kept me going. Love your Content finally living in the nivarre area getting into saltwater fishing for the first time. Thanks for all the tips and advice. Hopefully one day bump into you. Keep it up!
We was at that same exact spot a few weeks ago and all we caught there was lots of small mangroves, school masters and some of those small yellow and black fish , it was lots of fun . The rocks and then climbing the lighthouse about killed us . Lol . Awesome video
Funny. That's where I'm from, and I'm in Pensacola right now watching this. I'll be playing guitar across the water there next month. The current is usually so strong you can't keep a bait down. You hit it just right. If you charter a boat, try the black dog.
Me being in central California and getting to get to the pier’s 2 hours west. We aren’t catching what you’re catching. I’m jealous. Keep making it happen.
Jupiter Inlet, gotta be...the top one or two hotspots in all of Florida...sure beats a Thursday under a river overpass in Gatlinburg...yes, I know that place well too. That video still has me laughing.
I had to laugh at the beginning when you said the water was real muddy, come to Kansas we got your muddy waters lol! But, I sure wish I lived down there to catch and relase some of those snook they look pretty fun to catch.
I've never heard of sight fishing before. Aiming a cast towards a fish to get its attention. Usually, I just bate my hook and cast it out, and wait for a nibble. I learned something.
I was 14 years old and crossing Cyprus Gardens in '84 to get back to a tour bus because a storm was blowing up. It hit me, soaked me to the bone, and was gone, leaving sunny weather by the time I got to the parking lot. That was the first time I ever heard the expression that, "If you don't like Florida's weather, wait ten minutes".
Fantastic video. Beautiful spot too! Sometimes it is hard to watch your videos. I love fishing so much that it hurts to see such a good spot and not be able to throw some lines. I'm a Veteran and will be looking for a home by years end. Watching the market at the moment and hoping we might land a decent home with sliver of land. Ill be keeping you in mind. Thanks for the inspiration. The wife and I will be making a trip very soon.
You need a fish basket. Can put your aerated bucket in it for transport. Empty your net into it and you don't have to pick all that bait up off the ground
The bridge over alternate A1A by the railroad tracks on the southwest side of that bridge you can walk from by the railroad tracks over to the first dock to yer ledt and take a look when they have the light on at the end of the dock you will see more snook than you've ever seen in your life and don't fish next to the railroad track well a train goes by it triggers the snook to feed. #LOCALS
Great video Brant! Wow, what an awesome start to the trip. Some awesome losses followed by some wicked catches. And only defeated by God’s power. Thanks for sharing!!!
I’ll be in Florida fishing for the first time next week!!, I’ll be in Orlando, willing travel, anyone care to give any tips? Anyone wanna take a newbie!!! I know fresh water fishing, never done salt!
Why ao happy about a tarpon ?? Ya can't eat the nasty fish?? You can't bring it into of the water over "38 ?? Alot of utubers are damn a tarpon!!! Really?? I've caught 50" tarpon in marathon florida lol big deal 😅

Great time at beach bum outdoors! Wife and I just got outfitted BIG THANKS TO JEFF !GREAT GUY!
Dropped some dimes, lol we will be back! Cause of Jeff it's worth the hour drive
Sight fishing is so much fun! It's also a great way to perfect your retrieve.
Is live bait you don't really have to perfect your retrieve 😂
got me all exited to go there and fish, thats a 9 hour drive from Pensacola! dagumit!
I have followed you since covid when I was stationed in el paso and you kept me going. Love your Content finally living in the nivarre area getting into saltwater fishing for the first time. Thanks for all the tips and advice. Hopefully one day bump into you. Keep it up!
Appreciate you watching
Vintage bait bucket on video header screen shot...have the exact same one since 80's...still getting it done.
Should've used that blue runner for bait; could've hooked an 80lb tarpon

great video. I was close to there earlier this year. Wish I could have tried that.
I've never heard of sight fishing before. Aiming a cast towards a fish to get its attention. Usually, I just bate my hook and cast it out, and wait for a nibble. I learned something.
Me being in PA, the only sight fishing I really ever do is for pond bass.

We've got millions of Snook around here (Tampa Bay area) too. For years I've wondered why snook are protected so radically
I also plan to come to Florida to relax and fish, please tell me where this place is located ..
Would love to see you go out for some Black Fin Tuna 🎣🎣 Love the channel partner🎣🎸🎸
Appreciate it
I was a wondering what your setups are.
Fun post as usual. What rod/reel combo are you using in this video?
What reel were you using?
Man….this a reason I would love to move to Fla….problem is I’m a day late and a dollar short.

Yea Boy
Man I was there other day.. big stingray took my shrimp jumped out the water and took all my line 😂
Epic!
Fishing is always great right before a front there, then dead after it blows through
Looks like your leg injury has completely healed. Instead of pulling calf muscles, you're pulling fish out of the water.
I hope it returns
@@youtube2779damn 😂

no Juno Pier????
Saw Yak Motley sign in a lot the other day so I thought I’d see what’s going on here.
You should go to Sebastian inlet
Great video Brant! Wow, what an awesome start to the trip. Some awesome losses followed by some wicked catches. And only defeated by God’s power.

I can see a, "Farewell Pensacola," video in the future.
Definitely not
@@AnglerUpTv I was just there at the end of july... and got skunked but still had a wonderful day.. What style waterland glasses are you wearing?
So use to the boat traffic it doesn't affect the bite.
Where is that located?
That’s the Jupiter inlet
Brent, hit me up if you want to fish Jupiter waterways. I have a boat we can fish the Jupiter inlet to the backcountry.
I like fishing
is this Sebastian Inlet??
Jupiter
👍👍
DOH! 🍩
4 tides unique? it's normal in most parts of the world.
Need more tarpan
Jupiter Inlet
Go pro camera for a look..
4 tides a day? As in 2 in and 2 out? That's normal.
I’ll be in Florida fishing for the first time next week!!, I’ll be in Orlando, willing travel, anyone care to give any tips? Anyone wanna take a newbie!!! I know fresh water fishing, never done salt!
Any 8 day rentals for north carolinians family of 4 2 well behaved dogs. A lab a boxer. Never left to roam always crated when home alone
Dubois park" " & juno pier" haven't changed in 50 years still snook city": # singer island surf rat"
Shhhh
That's not a pier!, It's a jetty
Gold jacket, green jacket….
Dude cool video but you got to set the hook bro set the hook. You can't just start reeling with big fish in Florida. Set the hook!
Circle hooks bro. You don’t set the hook with circles
Why ao happy about a tarpon ?? Ya can't eat the nasty fish?? You can't bring it into of the water over "38 ?? Alot of utubers are damn a tarpon!!! Really?? I've caught 50" tarpon in marathon florida lol big deal 😅
Im just fishing for fun. If I’m hungry I’ll just go to the grocery store.
Love your negativity!
Tarpon are probably the most popular saltwater gamefish in Florida.
Great video. Your not to far from the infamous pier that holds 30 to 40+ inch snook. Try the pier next time 🤌
