Love this! I need to go through my TBR and pare it down, but most of what's already on there is books I physically own. My big focus this year is books I own, obviously. :)
I just checked, and I have 2011 books on my Goodreads TBR. You’ve motivated me to cut that in half this year between reading and removing. I’ve been wanting to do it for a while, but it always slips my mind. I’m going to set a weekly goal on how many to remove this year. Yes - our reading patterns do change with the seasons of life! Thanks for sharing. :)
I’m so glad you kept Defending Jacob. It’s one of my all- time favorite books and I recommend it to everyone. The Apple TV series was good but if you haven’t watched it yet, wait until after you read the book❤
I’ve never had a TBR shelf on goodreads. I have a big enough physical TBR, I don’t need even more stress added of even more books to read 🙃 I’m also a mood read and go in and out of genres alllll the time.
I'm in the same boat! I have an 11 month old son and a 7 yo daughter. I stopped reading when I was pregnant because i just had horrible focus. Now that's he's getting bigger I'm finally reading again. They are the loudest kids ever so drowning them out with an audiobook is a great bonus 😂
You're inspiring me to do the same with my Goodreads want-to-read list which is currently at a whopping 683 dating back as far as 2013! If I haven't read it by now, I'm probably not going to!
So I had over 1300 books on my Goodreads TBR… I’ve been deleting stuff since I watched your video and now it’s down to 870! Still way too high but pretty big progress 😂 I hope you can find some books that make you excited to read again!!
I like looking back on my TBR and seeing the evolution in my reading. I'm doing a reading challenge where I read a book from my TBR from each year 2000 to 2025.😊
You MUST read Legends and Lattes! You will love it! Such a sweet, cozy story that will transport you to a delightful little coffee shop with vivid descriptions of the scent of coffee and cinnamon buns baking… I might actually read it again…
Are you also still using Storygraph? This year, I decided to keep using GoodReads, but also try Storygraph. I didn't move anything over to Storygraph though. I just put in what I am reading now and giving it a star rating.
I’m trying to get more into audio books but my AirPods irritate my ears after an hour or less, what headphones do you have and do you like them?! I’ve seen them in your videos but haven’t asked what they are.
Not sure if you're into comedies, but I would highly recommend Starter Villain by John Scalzi. I've never laughed so much reading a book and I'm not really into comedy books
Not sure if you saw my comment on the other video but i said the book is dark and you like dark. Read the first Ch and see then you can dnf. It's a alower dark thriller not like what we used to read.

Omg love this video you inspired me to go over my goodreads Tbr boy it’s large I think I have like 3,000 books

Such a good idea I have to do that too

Same haha. I have 1550 right now, and just started archiving items off the list

I love your videos so much!!! I miss Vlogmas because I miss seeing you guys everyday!
Same!
Not even a mom here yet. But it's been hard for me to stay focused to read too. I LOVE my quite time.

I also have been working my way through culling my tbr. I’m the same way with audiobooks now that I’m a mom!
I also read Strange Sally Diamond, I really liked it!

What about short stories?

I finished One Moment Here and was disappointed! I honestly wish I had DNF'd too! Also- Strange Sally Diamond was so good, in my opinion.

The break up tour was HORRIBLE. It was a cash grab for Taylor swift fans.
The Plan is not worth your time. It wasn’t a fraction as good as her first book. More theory and less practical.
