Stunning live version of a classic QUO song. By far the best ever UK rock band. The Frantic Four. The one and only true QUO line up. Period. The magic they produce(d) on stage. Nothing comes even close.
Since the passing of Rick, Status Quo replaced him with Richie Malone, but there will always and only be one Rick Parfitt. They can replace the guitar player in Quo but they could never replace the vocals of Rick Parfitt. RIP Mr Parfitt
Just been to see them tonight and the other guys in the band have done a great job at sharing the job Rick did. They’ve done really well to cover as well as they can.
This is the great line -up when Status Quo was realy a great rock band in the early seventies . And the old rockers can still rock after all this years! Great!
God bless you Rick ! This is what it's all about ! The original quo ! This is why people will pay top dollar for ! To see the original line up ! What a band ! & in my opinion easily one of the greatest rock bands ever ! 10/10 every time no problem ! The quo' music will never die ! Rockin all over the world forever & a day ! Quo ! Quo ! Quo !
It takes two to tango... so please don't forget Rossi's part in this collaboration over the years..! He has still written most of the old Quo classics that we like...
@@leiper72 I think he just specified rick due to the fact he had just passed. Rossi now carries the torch alone. This tour was one of the last great ones. Rossi is also a great soloist for just a classic rock solo perfect for the song.
So, we have the worlds greatest Rhythm Guitarist. A frontman/Lead Guitarist that fears no one? Coghlan - Say no more! And, Mr Lancaster, a joy to watch and listen to... 40 Years I have been following this lot in various guises! This would bring a tear to a glass eye! :)
Wasnt aware of this reunion at the time, but having recently found the footage on here, my passion for Quo has been reignited. This is Quo, doing what made them Quo.
Rick and this Fender Esquire were made for each other. I always loved it when he played single pick-up guitars! We all talk about how amazing it was to see Nuff and Spud again, but it was Rick’s playing that was the star of these tours. It was absolutely rock solid! Undoubtedly the most underrated guitarist in rock.
You can hear the difference even after almost 30 years..apart...they still can rock it...the best quo line there is no other...apart from adding browne to the mix!! Key boards!! 😈
It's not that professional, it's under-rehearsed. The riff before that also goes south, noone seems to agree how many times it's to be played. It's all fun and nostalgic, but I wouldn't call this line up 'good'
I actually think it is Coghlan that messed it up first. He played the buildup the third time like in the end of the song. Yes it was underrehearsed, but this was the first reunion right? I think they did it better the second time.
worlds best rhythm guitarist. rip Rick. every iteration of this song after this is a pale pale copy. i swear the fab 4 were feeding off the energy of the crowd and each other for this amazing concert
hammers don't think Alan are John would agree.. Rossi fucked Alan career up .. He didn't want to leave the band. Rossi kicked him out because he would not play Rossi shit tunes like Margarita time .. And he would not like that crap .. In the army now .. Are the crap album they made after that ./ nither would spud like that crap
Alan had been in bad health for years. He performed well. My star was John, He never missed a beat. Francis has always kept his mojo and never lost it. Rick by this time was deteriorating badly, he was under standardly, was finding it hard to hit his singing notes. But I still adored the frantic four.
God bless you please get out of rock the storm of the storm hurricane of hurricanes my god what time is the vortexes Eagles MC squared equals MC squared what is it where is it by God give up are you guys rock I love you guys I can give you enough credit rock on my friends
Love this line up but this sounds off. Spud is not what he used to be and poor Nuff is struggelin' too. Loved the reunion tours but looking back I get Francis, this would not work in the long run. Miss them but life goes on. R.I.P Rick ❤
Bringing in old members doesn`t nessesarily mean the songs are played like they used to be played. A long time had gone by, and when you watch&listen closely, Francis is pushing John in terms of tempo. You can`t hear Alan`s playing, cos in the mix he is beneath the guitars. Alan used to be a powerful bassplayer, but in 2014 he was fragile!
No Rain without RICK 😢
RAIN brought out the Best of Him along the Band 😊❤
Rock,among the best musicians-guitarists ever
Stunning live version of a classic QUO song. By far the best ever UK rock band. The Frantic Four. The one and only true QUO line up. Period. The magic they produce(d) on stage. Nothing comes even close.
Rossi - Parfitt - Lancaster - Coughlan. Status Quo 1967 - 1981. The greatest!
Nobody than Coughlan can play the drums on RAIN than he does. ...simply perfect ❤
But why bother, it’s not Quo and never will be. It’s a con.
So glad I got to see this tour last chance to see proper Quo . Rock in peace Rick and Alan xx
Managed to attend 4 of these reunion gigs. Thank god they did it, before Rick sadly passed.
This is the great line -up when Status Quo was realy a great rock band in the early seventies . And the old rockers can still rock after all this years! Great!
Got my Quo boogie on..... Left. Left. Right. Right... Shake.... Oh for the '70s.......
God bless you Rick ! This is what it's all about ! The original quo ! This is why people will pay top dollar for ! To see the original line up ! Rick just makes the vocals
But there's something special here
God bless them all
Wasnt aware of this reunion at the time, but having recently found the footage on here, my passion for Quo has been reignited. This is Quo, doing what made them Quo.

ROCKING ALL OVER THE UNIVERSE"
RIP Rick!

Great thumping track...rain one of the very best frantic four tracks....even better with the reunion.....good stuff...😈
Like the good wines "the older the better "simply amazing.
rip Rick , i grow up with your music. my first concert in 96 in germany was my best experinece ever!
You can hear the difference even after almost 30 years..apart...they still can rock it...the best quo line there is no other...apart from adding browne to the mix!! Key boards!! 😈
No sunshine no RAIN without RICK 😢LONG LIVE HIS MEMORY and STATUS Quo 😊
Fab , just rock at its finest. Hail the Quo!
This is so good, and so professional. When Rossi plays the riff an extra time at 1:47, the others cover it up brilliantly.

After a 30 year break, the quo back doing what they do best....That "End of the Road" tour was just a long warm up for this.....
hammers don't think Alan are John would agree.. Rossi fucked Alan career up .. He didn't want to leave the band. Rossi kicked him out because he would not play Rossi shit tunes like Margarita time .. В России тоже любят Status Quo!
"thight"? Google doesn't recognise that word..The recording lets it down a tad..
Never the same Rickkkky
as it should be.. without keyboards.. keyboards dilute the sound.
F*ckin A!
Fuckin ai mate fuckin ai
Poor Nuff. Can hardly move. Sad 😦
Love this line up but this sounds off. Spud is not what he used to be and poor Nuff is struggelin' too.
Loved the reunion tours but looking back I get Francis, this would not work in the long run. Miss them but life goes on. R.I.P Rick ❤
This is the real quo Parfitt, Lancaster, coughlan, Rossi. Not the fake arse line up Rossi tours with now.
Another ruined lead break from Rossi.
23rdJune to be fair he plays better with the ff than he does with the quo tribute band now
Proper Quo - nice
Not the best vesrion of Rick, buit better than the later crap/.

It's youtube that makes the bass far less prominent. Stick on the DVD with a decent pair of speakers and the bass is absolutely pumping.
