Usually, we get horror stories...this just sounds like a fun campaign to me. Even if it does sound a bit dm vs player at some points.
I like that its the good version of DM vs player. Where the players are still the focus, but for better AND worse
DM vs player can be a good time, people just often think it's a combative thing because of too many internet horror stories lol
@@negative6442 no, this started out as competitive. the opening salvo looked like it was designed to punish the player and put the campaign back on track. then the dm decided to roll with it.
@@clericofchaos1 I don't think it was out of a sense of competition. Remember, the DM said that the party was ignoring the main bbeg and quest. I think it was more of an attempt by the DM to get the campaign back on track and pointed in the right direction; not so much a railroad as a compass saying "the story is that way." Once it became obvious that the players had more interest in pursuing the new plot, the DM decided to roll with it.

I mean you get some awesome stuff from a bad ambitious party sometimes, such as the Dead Three. Bhaal, Myrkul and Bane were three adventurers who accepted the god of the end Jergal's domain and split it into Strife, murder, and the dead to become gods themselves.

I started associating the old narrator with crappy stories so I find the new narrator to be a welcome change of pace. The stories are finally getting interesting again as opposed to the rpg horror stories that have been posted non stop. Keep up the good stories

Bro really just made an old west boom town with salt instead of gold.
Over market saturation, they could drop the price of salt for the entire region, making enemies of people whose livelihood was dependent on the extraction of salt.
The real menace is that the sorceror doesnt get to level up with the party because he missed sessions and they are using XP.

In Pathfinder, Aboleths are ancient, otherworldly creatures but have lived on Golarion for milennia. It's a different setting from D&D

I hit the prima noctis thing and 'sometimes they didn't survive' and decided nope! Love the storyteller, but not this tale.
