  • Black and chartreuse colours are as classic for clear waters as orange and brown for slightly colored. We normally fish this pattern from medium to quite big sizes, but also micro version has taken many great fish. Watch Mikael tie this favourite of his and that in the TTT version. The TTT ads a bit of weight that will help stretching the leader giving you more “perfect drift”. For fast water it will take your fly thru the surface film fast and the fly will start fishing immediately when it hits the water - a truly great fly for many occasions.
If you want to tie or fish your own Dee Sheep, Silver & silver or Black Green Helmet Micro, we offer you customized packs with fly tying materials and ready flies. Buy one-time packs, or better-join the popular subscription and get the packs delivered to you automatically every month at a beneficial price.

Hi Michael, as a beginner I am struggling trying to decide on the correct hook size for your tube flies. I had much help from Nordic Anglers (I prefer Ahrex HR440 tube fly doubles instead of treble hooks). So based on the sizes mentioned on your packages, we agreed on 1,5cm + size 12, 3cm + size 10, 6cm = size 8. Now I ordered TTT 9cm so I was wondering whether doubles tube fly hooks size 6 or size 4 are required? Maybe you could add a little scheme on your website to help people out when they order your tube flies? I’m super stoked to fish your flies! Thanks for your feedback

Hi Dirk. Yes a good advise, the problemis that between makers size differ so much! If a 10 was a 10 it would be easy! Since TTT dont need to be balanced i think you can go with the size you think hook best for You!

These are really nice flies, but... the only concern i have is getting the furs to tie the wings... My local Frodin supplier has all the FITS gear and i've spent a few pounds i can tell you, but sell only blue fox which isn't long enough for the big fly wings.. I also bought the book for the patterns, but it does not tell you what furs are required, whether its arctic runner, fox, temple dog, goat etc etc..
i've bought one of the feather packs to try and work out what is required.. i fully understand that Mikael wants to sell his tying packs, but for experimenting i would like to buy the furs for my own patterns..

Hi, i use different hair, tempeldog, fox and straight hair like goat for Samuraies... try to buy from Nordisk fluefiske in Norway, Wittlock in Sweden, today quite men have the right stuff. I would go for a call and not only order over Internet. Tell them what you need and for what flies. //M

Very nice looking fly ! Last week I placed an order on your web, but I could not find those long hairs. Where do you get those long fur fibers?? Thanks

Hello from Ontario Canada. Just found your TH-cam channel and enjoy it very much.l would like to try tieing your flies but there is some vital proportion information that is missing from your videos. Like the length of the medium tube. The type of hair you use. Is it Fox tail Icelandic sheep templedog or craft fur. How long is the tapered cut on the medium tube. Anything else that would prove important. Is there a supplier in Ontario where I can purchase your tying products.
    Thank-you
    Tight lines

Hi, sorry but when doing this many films i dont want to say the same in every film. Try to get the hook in the center or slightly behind. medium like half the finished fly. I us e any hair of goood quality mostly fox and tempeldog.. The cut is 2-3 mm
I think best you buy from us here:www.frodinflies.com/collections/fits
      we ship worldwide
      Cheers!
