I was looking for how to add a bulb to a 'room' or 'group' and get it to work with Alexa. This video doesn't cover either of those. (for anyone else looking for same)
Select one of your bulbs Tap "edit" icon in upper right corner Tap "Create Group" Select all bulbs you want to operate together Tap "Save" and give your group a name. Now in your main list of bulbs will also be the group. You operate this the same as you would a single bulb, and all functions are available and will affect all bulbs in the group simultaneously.
No matter how many resets i do and starting from scratch, these will not connect...I do not get the color wheel screen you're getting when you connected your bulbs. Not sure what to do. I have emailed the company and I do not hear back, there is no number to call....I have double-checked my wifi to ensure the 2.4 is turned on....I'm at a complete loss...it seems the bulb shows up as connected, at times, but it doesnt follow the timer I set up nor does it show any bulb information for me to change the color/hue.....any advice on what I can do? Thanks!
Try checking your router it might be blocking the connection. I had to login to my router and allow it to connect to my network. After that it works awesome
@@maddog6192 I actually figured it out you are right for some reason my wifi router blocked these connections after a few months of use and after 25 unsuccessful attempts to connect I found them and unblocked each one now they are working perfect! 👌😁
@@animerulerz321 Yea , I have my set to block so if anyone gets a hold of your PW they still won't have access unless granted permission! I'm glad it worked. Enjoy
sorry I missed your question... do you have a 2.4 GHz wifi network? It has to be 2.4. And, you have to make sure the bulb is "reset" and blinking to pair it.
is there a way to connect multiple at once because if i connect one of them and then flip my lights on and off the paired one resets and only one of the four bulbs in my ceiling starts blinking
@@yourmomlol1294 Go to the device page first then click on the top right corner, there is an edit pencil, you will find create group on the next page. Found those steps online and it worked for me.
When I follow the steps, my light doesn't flash and I can't get it connected

You should show how to sync instead of showing the box info.
Are they still working for you? Mine all just stopped working completely 😔😕
sorry for the delay. I wasn't getting notices about comments. yes. working okay.
@@noisedoctor I’ve switched to Nanoleaf and they’ve been great 👍

It wouldnt connect when I did it :( I'm confused because when it tells me to connect to the bulb it doesn't have wifi to find the device

was the bulb blinking fast to pair? did you have 2.4 GHz wifi network available?
What app did you use?
sorry for the delay. I wasn't getting notices about comments. Smart Life app.
Do these work with tuya app
Can U change the color of the light by saying Ok google (ey siri) Blue light red light and so on?
let me experiment with that on the siri side... I have siri shortcuts for off and on, but not colors. let me see what I can find out.
@@noisedoctor u dont use google assistant?
@@estebannator2012 - I don't use google assistant.
I did finally try setting up color setting as action so I could enable via siri and there was no way I could find to do that.
Not sure if you've tried this yet but it does work with alexa at least--I say, "Alexa, please turn Amber's lamp purple" and it works perfectly!

After you get one bulb working, take it out and pair the second one. Then you can put the first one back and they both will work.
Is there a way to group lights so multiple lights are the same color?
Yes
How ? @@amjlucas

I have lifx bulbs that I wish would be controlled by smartlife. But the lifx color is alot brighter than their color.
