Great video man! I’m a native English speaker who has found my passion for teaching English through helping my language partners improve their Speaking skills. This inspired me to start creating content of my own to help as many people as possible. Keep up the good job 👍
I was all ears throughout the lesson and pull out all the stops to watch the lesson. Awesome way of teaching Love from India 🇮🇳 Brand new Porsche 2018 😍😍😍
Hi James! You are the best teacher in my life! I keep going to learn English everyday because of you! Thanks a lot. In addition I always like your cool fashion! Can't wait to see what's next hahahaha From Japan💓
Hey James, nice singing voice! Hi from the UK. We have the same expressions over here, although 'all shook up' would sound a little strange coming from a Brit. I had always associated it with the Elvis song. The other phrases we use all the time.
"Tomorrow, I have a tough exam at mathematics. I want to pull out all the stops to get a good grade. I may even pull an all nighter if necessary. For all I know, mathematics can be mastered if you give your all and practice smartly. However, in the process of my exam preparation, I was bothered by the noise of a party that was held in the neighborhood. I went out to ask the organizer to lower the sound of the music. I knocked at their door, someone opened : - Hello, can I help you? - Hello. I have a request please. - I am really busy tonight. If you come back later, I'll be all yours. - Don't worry, I am not asking for a big deal. - Sure, I'm all ears then. - Can you please lower the sound of the music? I have an exam tomorrow. - Of course, I will do. - Thank you. The party was a free-for-all. It was very crowded and chaotic. While I was walking to my house, all hell broke loose in the party place and some guys were fighting. I felt all shook up when I heard the sound of someone screaming. I went back to the party and knocked again, but no one answered. I called the police and they came right away to my place. I told them everything about the noise and the fights and asked for their help. Finally, the party was stopped and I went back to continue my revision. On my way, a policeman said : - Thank you sir. Calling for our help was a good idea. - Thank you too. You did well. I really respect how you risk to guarantee other people's comfort. - It's all in a day's work. You've got to do what you've got to do. The danger you see in my job is all in your head. I am well trained to overcome it. - I see! After all, risk is not a bad deal since it only holds a chance fo failure, and not failure itself. - Exactly, just don't put all your eggs in one basket, and you will mitigate the danger of the risk. - Well said officer, thank you. - Good night. I went back home and mathematics were a lot easier when it felt quieter around me." This is my suggestion for the HW part. Thank you.
Thank u sir .. as you know English is a second language for Indians too. Your videos really helped me a lot to improvise my speech during a conversation. I'm just starting learning English . Thanks a lot 🙏🙏
Hi James, Ash from Philippines I love so much your lesson today I do learned about this. All though I not usually use idioms a lot All IN YOUR HEAD (imaginary) this sounds like common expression that I always heard to my client when their think unnecessary will happen which I really enjoyed haha SALAMAT-thank you :)
Great lesson James, thanks a lot. I`d like to put forward a topic for next coming videos, I would like to suggest if you can make a video explaining the correct use of the indefinite pronouns and why does the rule of the third person singular is applied to them. That would come in handy for me and many others, I would appreciate a lot getting this knowledge from you because you are a great teacher :D This is a topic that I`ve been grappling with for ages and I think many others like me struggle with it.
Hi James! You always come up with Interesting and fun video lessons. Thanks a lot , its really helping me in speaking more naturally and fluently. I was just wondering , can i use these idioms in formal situations such formal meetings or writing essays ?
James..love ur videos. U'r the best! But I've a doubt. Shook is the past simple of the irregular verb TO SHAKE, so its past participle is SHAKEN. So the idiom shouldn't be SHAKEN UP instead of 'shook up'?? Thx for ur answer! Denise from Italy
