Exploring the Mendocino National Forest

- Hi My name is Oliver and in this video, I explored the Mendocino National Forest in my Tacoma TRD Offroad, along with my friend Aldo in his Tacoma TRD Sport, and my uncle Jolly Joel as a copilot. We started from Upper Lake, California and from there we head north, straight into the mountains where we passed through a couple designated campgrounds. That is where we spend our first night since we had a late start that day. The next day we spent adventuring through the forest passing through some amazing views and a few water crossings until we found our campsite for the night next to a small creek. All in all this trip has been one of my favorites so far mainly because we had more time than usual to explore more of the trails around the area. The overcast and rainy weather made for some of the most beautiful scenery and some fun muddy trails.
This is my first adventure video that I shoot and edit, so I apologize for any bad audio and not the best quality of video, but I hope you enjoyed my adventure and stay tuned for more in the future. With more practice, better equipment and better skills, my videos will only get better. Subscribe to Rugged Adventures for future adventure and build videos. Also, feel free to comment any tips or advice you’d like to give on how I can improve my video quality and bring you better content for future videos. I also mentioned that I am in need of an upgraded camping stove that’s slim and compact to make more cargo space for other camping gear in the bed of my truck, my Coleman roadtrip stove top is great but its too bulky for my adventures.

Thanks for watching!

Sorry for the late reply but hope you enjoyed it. NorCal has a lot to offer.
Awesome video! I was just at bear creek 2 month ago. Then we headed to lake pillsbury through dirt roads hull mountain bald mountain out to Usal beach! Was an amazing weeknd! Looking forward to see more videos
Did you have to go back through Elk mountain rd to get to lake Pillsbury after bear creek? Because I know there’s a way to get to Rocky point which is south part of lake Pillsbury, but they recently put up a no trespassing sign where that road starts. On Google earth it doesn’t show that there’s any buildings or anything out that way so I’m curious if some random put the sign up to keep it to themselves or what.
Great video, thank you!
Snow mountain is awesome I know that entire route you did and you’re from Petaluma👍👍👍
Nice video!! The bronco is coming out on the next trip
Let’s do it man. Tryna get to Hull mountain and Pillsbury lake next

Wow so fun!

Thanks for watching. Mendocino is so big to explore so you’ll have a great time!
Nice video. Im a backpacker just getting into overlanding. It seems a skottle is a popular type of cooking stove/grill. I use the GSI Pinnacle Pro propane stove.
😍🙏
Nice! Do you have the GPS coordinates?

What road were y’all driving ?
Sub’d
Thanks man I’m sub’d to yours too.
@@DirtRoad_Chronicles thank you! New video in 15 mins
That Coleman grill is a piece of junk. Mine only last me two trips. Both tires popped off. You only paid for it’s names.
I’ve since traded it for a eureka stove I got at REI. So far it’s been great and way more compact.
