      @tytusbergstrom 6 ปีที่แล้ว +9

      hi Yasmin! glad you like it! we're all about improvement, so are you referring to being able to find the rhythm or some other tips / trick on improvement? Tytus

    • @DanceInsanity
      @DanceInsanity  6 ปีที่แล้ว +8

      @Yasmin Kim you're welcome! That's a really good question - how to find the rhythm. We may have to do a tutorial on that! For now, a couple of exercises to help you practice finding the beat:
      1. Listen to the music, and let your body start swaying from side to side, foot to foot with the beat of the music. Don't worry about the numbers yet. Just feel the rhythm.
      2. Start to notice when there is a stronger/ louder beat (usually with a base - like drums. sometimes even with the lyrics.) That is usually your 1st count.
      3. Just listen to a bunch of music and practice those 2 things first. You can use these songs on our playlists to practice: th-cam.com/channels/GbVu2L4XxuFo6X1iMcyiHg.htmlplaylists?view_as=subscriber&shelf_id=10&view=50&sort=dd
      Let us know how it goes. :)

    • @mrjozo-pr6ih
      @mrjozo-pr6ih 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi! Have no favourite yet, but from what I have heard Tango is going places later on the improlevel. In germany its "Weinachtsfeiersaison" (firm goes establishment eat drink dance to "Helene Fischer"), so I hoped to get some "official" D-Fox down for that purpose. Lady and I have a hard time keeping track of count though, all around.

    • @DanceInsanity
      @DanceInsanity  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      mr. jozo Ahhh... the disco fox! Very cool. Sounds like that is wildly popular in Germany!
      So, do you start out ok, then midway, lose the counts?

    • @mrjozo-pr6ih
      @mrjozo-pr6ih 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Yo dance insanity, yeah kinda like that, starting out `unreasured' that we are possibly a bit of and losing it during some routine. At this point in time of a course we go through all of the above dances though, and we get better. When the music starts and teacher isn`t counting in, nobody moves tho, hahaha....

    • @DanceInsanity
      @DanceInsanity  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      mr. jozo we understand! Such good students... haha. There's quite a lot to do in addition to handling the rhythm. Are some dances easier than others to keep time to?

    I am software engineer. being tired of working, I am 41 now, and began to lean latin dance 5 years ago, I really love latin dance, latin dance is a sport, and have theories which I depend on( like leaning language, we have to lean grammar), I have endless question, some question can be solved by my self from practising, some I have to learn from different teachers, this is my demand,I wonder if moden IT technology can help me lean latin dance more.

    • @DanceInsanity
      @DanceInsanity  6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hello Frank! That's an interesting point. The more you practice and learn, the more questions you have. Some of which you will find answers from others (especially in the beginning), some you will find within yourself (like you mentioned). That is the beauty of learning and evolving. :) Now, with so many videos online, the ability to have access to learning and watch top-notch dancers is unprecedented. Of course, that will also continue to evolve. Ever tried virtual reality?

    • @frankwu9659
      @frankwu9659 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Most of online vedio don’t have detaiedl theory and practise method, especially latin dance is evolving, that include basic routine, for example when we do check, most of the time we need to put out weight one left ,some of time we need to put out weight on right I have two example.. example1: cuban break, example2: when you want turn right , I fell smooth at least because of these theroy. some may not agree and argue about that , I think that will be good for latin dacne

    • @tytusbergstrom
      @tytusbergstrom 6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi Frank! interesting fact, Walter Laird, the creator of Latin dancing, was a very well establish Engineer (and world latin dance champion) who worked for the English government. So he approached everything from the perspective of an engineer. o definitely should help you! in reference to your second comment: one of these days we have to make a video on the check forward walk, because there was many disagreement from the different coaches I trained with (including Laird). anyway, best of luck, I'm sure you'll keep improving with your passion.
