I would love to see a video on the best classic beauty products. Everyone is always raving about the next best thing, but it would be interesting to see how older products stacked up against the new products.
The Peripera Ink Mood Glowy tints are also my favorite as a lip stain addict. They're glossy and genuinely hydrating. My ONLY beef with them is that they all deepen over time. A lot of the shades will look like exactly what I want when they're first applied but they turn deep pink after a few minutes. For that reason, my favorite shades are the browns, which just become vampier browns as they deepen. Shade 11 Brown Heaven applies a very light, cool brown, but turns a rich, deep, reddish brown that I absolutely love. Shade 20 Brown Yakgwa is also great. They have a lot of shades that they call mauves but they are absolutely not mauve after they deepen. Makes me sad because I love mauves. I want this range to have a shade like Rom&nd's Juicy Lasting tint in the shade 21 Deep Sangria, which is a very vampy, cool red. I love a cool red for a winter statement lip, but only Rom&nd has a shade like that. The unfortunate thing is that the Rom&nd formula kinda sucks at being a stain, which is NOT something I can say about the Peripera. I've been hunting for the ultimate red lip stain for years and I still haven't found it. The closest I've gotten is the Etude Dear Darling Water Tint in Cherryade, but that one, since it's a water stain, is SO patchy. ELF's lip stain in Spicy Sienna is close, but those are super small, their staining power is weak, and they're pretty expensive for the amount you get (they come with around 1/4 the amount of Rom&nd, Peripera, and most others). Milani's stains have a lot of red shades, but they're a great example of my biggest problem in finding a red stain. Most stains that apply red don't STAIN red, they stain berry. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
We literally sang "loathing" at the same time lol. By the way, that "boring" eyeshadow look is amazing, as a pale girlie myself, I appreciate the soft tones specially for an everyday look. As always, amazing video Abbey!!
K Beauty find for us cool toned ghosts: Too Cool for School Art Class shading powder! It’s a super light blendable contourish powder that I use as eyeshadow & the darkest shade in my brows if I’m in a rush😂! But in the pan it’s 3 distinct shades (side by side) so you can customize which mix you want to use where! And Milk Touch blush (the shade I have says touch my cheek in sunshine peony) which is in a whitish base so it covers up a little when you hit a bronzer too heavy (again it’s more sheer cause that’s k-beauty)
I love the Tarte creamy concealer. I am 62 with fine lines, wrinkles, and dark circles. While using this concealer, it gives me a nice natural no creasing finish.
I am extremely fair (finding my shade in the winter is impossible) and I love using natural highlighters like essence pure nude as bronzer since it is not too warm and gives a nice glowy sheen. Love your videos
Abbey, you definitely should explore korean cushion foundations. Like JungSaemMool, Romand, Clio, Laneige, Tirtir, Amuse etc. Cushions are beloved by asian women and they usually have good coverage/high spf and are very easy to use or touch up
I hear you on the eyeshadow palette. That's why I quit buying them is because I was only using two shades out of the entire thing and what a waste of money that is.
I keep getting tempted to buy palettes and have to remind myself that I only use a couple shades. My favorite is Essence, whose palettes offer six shadows in each palette color, so enough to play with. Cost? $3.99!!!
For favorite mascara: Milani anti gravity! Blushes: Milani baked, colors in luminoso and dolce pink. Foundation is maybeline super stay 24 skin tint set with Fit me loose powder. Recent loves are the elf fine as fleck shadow singles in ALL shades!!!!!
Thanks for the demos! My fave of this year was the Armani lip glass in shade 07 💗 For tubing mascara, have you tried removing it using your fingers like a mascara wand? Just with water brushing your fingers under the lashes (like you would apply mascara)? It comes off so easily that way, in those little tubes, and zero mess on your skin 👌🏼 But maybe Tarte’s mascara wouldn’t do that regardless, I haven’t tried that one
My big discovery this year was the Merit Flush Balm blush in Rouge! It's such a pretty red blush but still quite sheer, so it just ends up looking super natural on my pale skin, it's so pretty
this was such a fun video to sit with and do my makeup to!!! i personally have been loving the NYX smooth whip matte lip cream. I know, it's an oldie but i recently rediscovered it, and love how long lasting they are and how good the color range it!! AND it's affordable!!
@AbbeyYung for some reason the notification didn't come in for me today. I had to search for it. Let's hope it's just a one-time thing but I will definitely let you know if it continues
My longtime favourite lip tint is the a'pieu juicy pang tint! It does have a strong smell and taste but I find it pleasant and I love how lasting the stain is!
Whoa, this video is for me! I have to have that Cleo light palette that you used on your eyes; I have the same cool tone Fair struggle. I only use tubing mascara, and have done so since I started using L'Oreal beauty tubes way back years before tubing was even a thing.... So I appreciate the mascara recommendation ❤ actually, that mascara looks almost exactly like Maybelline sky high, it has the half tubing, but easier to remove formula and it goes on exactly like that application (and way more affordable)
We are boring eyeshadow twins!!! 🥰 I can’t wait to try that Clio palette. Thank you so much for these amazing recommendations. 💕 Have you tried the Hourglass bronzer in Nude Bronze Light? It’s wayyyy less highlighter-y than the other shades, and it’s perfect for fair skin. One of my absolute faves!
K-Beauty has been a game changer for my very fair skin with olive undertones. Would still love your thoughts on the Klavuu Nourishing Lip Sleeping Pack, it's my favorite to apply right before bed. I'm hoping you don't hate it and that's why you haven't reviewed it. Love all your videos & many blessings!!!💖💖💖
As a pasty celt I feel your pain on the neutral eyeshadow palettes! I love the 3CE Dear Nude 9 pan, it has a mix of cool and warm tones but the 3CE palettes are super easy to shuffle and remix. They're not super pigmented, which for me as a beginner guy is good but ymmv. Will give that Clio one a look though, it looks reassuringly rosy!
loved your video. first time viewer. im glad that u mentioned that those 3 eyeshadow palettes look the same to some. i was worried it was just me. plus even the different pans in each palette looked super similar to me
The anxiety I had when you were putting in the mascara and it was all over the lid hahah. The Clio eyeshadow has been a life changer for me as a fellow pale girl. It was everything I have been looking for for years and I got it the first time you recommended it and have use it daily!
I've been in love with kbeauty and kskincare for over 10 years now, and it is honesty si good for light skin tone. If you like a watery foundation, i recommend you try the Clio killcover founwear the original ! Its amazing. Superlighr weight satin finish. Also the peripera mood tint n20 in yakghwa brown ! Beautiful rosy caramel shade that smells like candy
I found these super fun k beauty products check them out xD : 1) too cool for school 3 color blushers, the colors are fun and buildable, they also have 3 color highlighter (I really like the highlighter too) and contours 2) I’m meme multi cubes - I have all their shades, these are just so fun, bento like eyeshadow quad and blush cubes, I keep them in purses for quick touch ups
I feel you so much on the eyeshadows! I literally buy the ones where people complain there is no payoff 😂 That means it might work for me and not make me look like Mimi Bobeck.
I do love korean shadows for their color story but i prefer a bit more pigment for sculpting instead of the soft barely there wash of color. But the glitters are AMAZING.
I have to say I do appreciate a really good tubing mascara (I will use non tubing depending on effect I desire). My eyes are really allergy prone/prone to being watery/easily irritated. For me a good tubing mascara doesn't irritate my eyes, and it stays put through my watery eye phases- no smudges, no flakes and no racoon eyes 🙂. I really like a tubing mascara for work for that reason. The best I have found for my eyes is the Beauty Pie tubing mascara-never gets a mention anywhere- but it's really good.
Abbey, if it helps I'm black (medium deep range) and I still use the Ami Cole transparent with no white cast unless I really pack it on (and I'm not a baker, so that's never really a thing for me).

As an American currently living in South Korea, it delights me that kbeauty is popular! I have fallen in love with the Nature Republic melting stick gloss as it is soooo close to the hourglass formula! I could go on and on, but this jumped out as my most used favorite of the year
Unrelated but need your advice! I’m using the L’Oréal bond repair concentrate and I’m using it after shampoo like you suggest but I also need to use my madison reed color depositing conditioner today. Should I shampoo and do the bond repair first and then later in the day do the color conditioner? Just not sure how and if I should put time in between the steps, etc. Thank you for your help Abbey!
Honestly guys and Abby, try bare minerals settubg powder original Man it does work wonders w oil control!!! I’m a tasker at Ulta and I’m merchandising all day long and it frikin keeps me not oily
Great helpful information and great videos and you look very beautiful and pretty with and without makeup and especially your hair and your natural beauty too and so much more as well.
Great picks Abbey! I love RMS for sure. Can you please tell me if it’s ok to do a bond repair treatment and follow up with the Elvive Waterworks Gloss Rinse?

Finally someone who gets me when it comes to eyeshadow palettes! I need those 50 shades of beige! 😂

I have this in the shade Nougat Sand and it's so good!!
I'm obsessed too, they're the best! I have veiled rose and dear apple shades. Veiled rose is my 3rd repurchase.
I am extremely fair too. The k beauty palettes are beautiful as pinks and purples . Clio in the pinks are AWESOME!
I'm also obsessed with Peripera Ink Mood Glowy Tint and Romand Juicy Lasting Tint for the last year. I'm obsessed.
SO good omg
I was surprised to see the heavy handed bronzer application after seeing the super delicate and elegant eyeshadow design.
I think she said the bronzer & blush looked a lot darker on camera than it was in real life.
I did not at all like the look of that orange sparkly bronzer on her skin
I am extremely fair (finding my shade in the winter is impossible) and I love using natural highlighters like essence pure nude as bronzer since it is not too warm and gives a nice glowy sheen. Love your videos

there is a comparable blush formula from canmake called cream cheek if you're wanting to try more dewy versions! (they also carry highlighters)
