One thing I didn't notice when I first watched this freestyle is that the chart they're freestyling to is really complex, it's a D10 with some pretty tricky patterns that they executed without even looking like they're playing the game, that's dedication!
BRO ITS BEEN 7 YEARS AND STILL ONE OF THE BEST FREESTYLE IN THIS GAME

wished they had more players like these in Japan... been playing since early 2000's and when finally we get PIU here in 2015 no one challenges the machine! Japanese players like static, robotic games that you use your fingers and hands to hit the screen, Freestyle is something we don't have here as it's kind of socially unnaceptable to draw attention and "show off".
The only good part of this is that you can play a literally a whole saturday without having to wait for your turn :)

Eh, at least arcade culture is still a thing in Japan? I grew up in the US having an arcade to spend many hours on weekends to play games cheaply, but then the recession hit in 2008 and many arcades closed for a decade except those whose business also serves alcohol and food like Dave and Busters which many would invest in card point systems. These places were far and few and could charge a lot to play any game. When my area finally got a Round1, it was super depressing to see a younger generation miss out on what experience I had in my youth. I've seen very few people play DDR and Pump It Up past the basic levels, and the price of gaming is discouraging to younger people who I'm sure would love to get better at it.
@@LilytheFrilly I think that Adrian was just lucky to fing a sweet empty spot. I've been to Tokyo in 2018-2020, and all the machines were always full of players who were constantly showing off.

I know, pump it up even has a japanese version with 100 songs and i hope that version makes it here in the states since i would to play japanese songs

That's because Prime introduced J-music for the first time in the series. It has somewhere between 50-100 songs, I believe. Even more than Korean music in that version, if I'm not mistaken.
it's literally just a parallel. Korea was the one doing all the really good freestyle videos of DDR and now its vice versa lololol

This needs a manga about how they have a freaking rival who was a freestyle champion that had been belittling them, so they worked hard tryying to come up with a good enough freestyle and entered the competition but lost, they decided to join next time, so in preparation they traveled to france, italy and rome to find their choreography. + lots of H-scenes

sorry people but i didn't like this freestyle. The dance moves are way too simple, just jumping in the place and move a hand or both, no hips movements, no footwork etc.
they have their own style dude, chill.
