I know this is an old video, but I have a Passap forma and found some copied and laminated stitch rulers (I did this years ago) in the bag with it. I was able to confirm they were indeed for the forma due to your video. Thank you!

just rewatching this and thought, you say about the colour changes, you can mark them on the pattern sheet. when you knit the first sleeve and decide to change yarn, make a small mark on the sheet across the ruler either in pen or pencil (if you wish to erase it later) then when you knit the 2nd sleeve, when that mark hits the ruler you know to change colour. both sleeves should then match

Mine was that self-striping cake yarn so I was trying to guess about how long the sections were in a very unscientific way! 😂

Good video as normal. you can also use the stitch patterns within the forma shapes too for any one wondering. so lace, tuck stitch, fair isle etc.
SIT stands for Standardisation Internationale de Tricotage (English translation is International Standardization of Knitting)

Definitely can! Thanks for the acronym, which I'm going to forget again probably immediately, lol.

I noticed immediately how you matched the Caron Cake yarn on both sleeves-i was impressed, not only with the stripes matching but that the Superba could handle this thickness of yarn. Which model machine do you own? Thank you for your excellent videos-I am on the cusp of looking for my first Superba purchase and am eagerly taking in your videos to prepare myself.

Hi! I'm so sorry I never saw your comment before! This Superba is the same as or similar to the S48. (In North America they were branded White for some reason, so it's a White 1602 over here - although there is some debate on the model number now because it doesn't actually say 1602 anywhere on it! *facepalm*)
This yarn is actually Lion Brand Mandala, and it's a bit thinner than the Caron cakes. It is called a #3 weight (so here that means "sport" or "DK", it's an unfortunately broad category) but it is on the thinner side of that.
Having said that, the Superbas being a 5mm gauge with the adjustable space between the beds, can handle a wider variety of yarns than a normal 4.5mm standard gauge with ribber. The thickest it will knit is about a DK. If you are familiar with Berroco yarns, they make one called Vintage DK which I have used for fair isle on the Superba, and it is the very top end of what I would use.
They Superbas are all very lovely machines, and if you are overseas there are so many more available than here in North America! Good luck in your search!
