everytime i see this knife, it always looks as huge as a kukri, it must be filmed or photographed with a macro lens. that is one sexy knife. thanks for sharing, Jake.
I just ordered the large Huron from you. I was able to find a small Huron for the wife as well (from Vancouver). Is Condor still making knives? No one seems to have much of their product in stock anymore.
I got it. I love it! The sheath is very dry so I ordered some Bick 4leather conditioner. Should I oil the inside of the sheath as well as the outside? Thanks again, Jake.@@CanadianCuttingEdge
Hi Jake and Bandit. I would love to see more condor knives. I have three condor knives a bushlore , moonshiner and mini bushlore. There's many more I would like to add to my collection , a swamp romper or kephart or hivernant would round out my collection nicely. Would love to see you review a hivernant but it's an older model and they have lots of new or newer one's maybe more relevant ?
Very nice knife, great review, thank you Jake. If I am not mistaking Condor makes awesome machetes as well. Get better soon, and be careful on the road, even if we are are attentive on how we drive, you never know who is driving in the opposite direction.
Canadian Cutting Edge The issue I have is the way Condor has raised their prices since they hit the market on the the same products. I'm just not seeing a lot of value there.
Yes, the Canadian price sucks. The Canadian prices do not reflect what the company target price point is, we get ripped off most of the time with knives, and with CBSA messing with us more all the time it only keeps getting worse.
Really like the handmade look of both the knife and the sheath. That black blade, the imperfect stitching on the sheath... gives it character without detracting from the usefulness. Your point about blood in the wire wrap is a good one, but not a concern for me. That epoxy slop isn’t going to hurt a thing, I wouldn’t waste too much time worrying about that. That right there is a tool, not a show piece for bragging. Would make a nice companion knife for a larger chopper or a beefy survival type knife. $60 is fair, not great, but fair.
Thanks John. Yeah, according to my sources the Condor sheath is handmade as are almost all the steps the knife goes through - old-style factory in El Salvador.
Nice looking knife... unfortunately I think my Woodsknife Puukko would get jealous if I saved up for yet another fixed blade... And there's no link for the UK.☹️
@@CanadianCuttingEdge I looked at another 5 or 6 suppliers as well as Amazon and no go with any of them. Doubt I will have enough disposable income until at least April anyway!
I had someone suggest to fill in the space with some epoxy, so that the wire can't be felt at all. Interesting idea. I do wonder how it would look if I followed your idea...

I love condor knives! This one has been on my 'to buy' list for a while. Safe travels!
Thanks for letting me know

Condor is doing well. I'm not sure what store to recommend but keep looking. But SMKW.com has a fair selection

I do tend to review the newest knives as those get the biggest audience. Thanks for letting me know how you feel about Condor videos.

Oh yes, Condor makes MANY machetes indeed.
Clear epoxy would take care of that wire. Nice knife and good review, thanks!
That is a decent idea for sealing the wire. THANKS!!
Nice to see that this blade is 1095 and not the 1075 that so many of the Condors are made from.
I like 1075 but like you, I prefer 1095 too.

Nice knife with great blade. Should have a better finished handle for spending over one hundred. Thanks. Tony.

Yeah, I didn't find it for UK, at least not on Amazon. :(
