Man, this tore me up, watching this guy plead for the elected officials chosen by the people, to do their jobs that were given to them, that they campaigned to be in the position to do so, by the people that they asked to represent.
I actually cried at the end.
It had to be so heartbreaking for him knowing the chances were slim, but still fighting for those who entrusted him to do the job he was elected to do, and for the rest of America.
America. It used to mean something, still does, in my opinion.
Why we’re not all marching to our capitals demanding that they do the job that we pay them to do, why we aren’t all putting differences aside, regardless of which side we lean towards on the ballot, why we aren’t taking a stand that to show these politicians that we aren’t an unruly nation and defiant, we don’t hate each other, we don’t see eye to eye but that doesn’t mean we are blind to what is happening here. Its got to be stopped and we have to do something or else we will forever be the legacy for generations to come, that failed and didn’t put up a fight to restore the greatest nation on the planet.
What a waste. What cowards we are. What isolated self absorbed inflated egos we all must have. To think that anything could be more important to all our lives right now. For our freedom. For our rights. So that the thousands and thousands of service members who gave the ultimate sacrifice, didn’t do it in vain. It can’t be for nothing. It can’t be. It can’t.
I am consumed w/ shame.
We the people are PISSED!

Kennedy is from my home state of Louisiana where I was born and lived until 2010 when I moved to Arkansas to be near my son. I am proud of him. He is a throwback to when Senators were statesmen and orators. His speeches are colorful but on the mark in defining the issue at hand.

Not sure I agree with you, Sir. I at first really enjoyed how he went after Mayorkas and the judge nominees. He went hard after Mayorkas and it seemed as though he had the border issue in his crosshairs. However, he was one of the 70 that voted Yea for the 95 BILLION dollar spending bill. That really surprised me. And I believe none of that is going for the border. I'll have to read how it was broken up again but I don't remember seeing anything going to our border.
Anyway, you and I can agree to disagree, we're American citizens and can have a discussion without hating the other.
