Just amazing you made me realise how much I missed touring all these amazing roads my Dad introduced me in the 60s and yes I wish I could go and explore them again keep up the good work Take care
Nice video and good relaxing music. Brings back so many memories as I would take this road countless times after coming down from Kärnten over the Plöcken Pass, Zoncolan, SS465, SP619, SP73 to Lago di Sauris, SR552, SP63 to Lago di Barcis and Longarone and various roads to Manghen to Levico Terme and over the Kaiserjägerweg. It makes for a long tiring day. I'd stay in Foxi di Vallarsa at Albergo Alla Lanterna or on the SP89 across the valley. After 26 years of touring there, the maps get left at home.
Wow.. I'm jealous. I came away from this trip thinking I could spend months in that area and never ride the same road twice and never do anything less than amazing. Fantastic place. I was running out of musical ideas at this point in my videos but this seemed to capture the relaxed cruise along a beautiful valley
@@yagian Well if you get back and you ride the roads listed above, the SP63 from Navarons to Andreis is ultra twisty. Fun but I was already beat from heading down the roads previous to it and by the time I got to the SS46 in Vallarsa, I was making too many mistakes on that road. I had to slow down. You will like Monte Zoncolan if you have not been on it. TH-cam it.
Ian, if you ever get back there, if you continue where your video ends to the top (Pian della Fugazze) and down to the twisty part at Ponte Verde, take the cart path to Posina. When you get there, take a sharp left on SP81 which continues as the SP138 and head over Passo dello Borcola to Piazza. That road is usually free of cars. Also the SP219 from just past Raossi on the SS46 to the bar at the pass on the SS46 is nice. It runs by a lake and dam.
Good to know. It felt like there were no bad roads out there and in hindsight, I'd probably have had more fun sticking to that area instead of heading down to Croatia. However I'd never been to Croatia so wanted to go see the famous coast road. I think Croatia/Albania/Romania would be a trip by itself. Now to just win the lottery
