I really like your videos, I can keep up with what is going on lately in the Linux world. Thanks a lot, do not stop :)
Testing native wine-wayland here because of nitpicky issues I had with xwayland. The improvement there is for what I can say very noticeable in frame-pacing and latency (and mouse input maybe?). CP2077 for example feels perfectly direct and smooth with my amd rx 6700 xt and VRR. I'm really looking forward to it. Very good summary from you, keep it up :)
That's really good to hear!
looking forward to making the switch ive been dabbling with a dual boot. I rarely use anything outside of a browser for work due to vdi etc so this is gonna be nice from me .
Thanks for the excellent content! After watching your recently Nobara 39 video, I just moved from Nobara 37 (GNOME) to Nobara 39 (KDE). Everything has gone well so far except for two things: 1. I cannot apply the Nobara KDE team following the Nobara project instructions (not a big deal).
2. But more importantly, Corectrl instantly crashes as soon as I hit the switch to "on" when I have an undervolt applied. I used to have a stable -80 offset (running my rx6800xt at around 875mv) on Nobara 37, but under Nobara 39 I can't even have a -1 offset, as it will straight crash and just give me a black screen with my panel not detecting a video signal. Have you had any issues with corectrl? Undervolting my GPU is a must, other than that, playing Steam games on Linux has been fantastic. Thanks again for your help!
Thank you :)
I havent had issues with corectrl, have you done a sudo dnf autoremove? Maybe some packages are still installed from 37
@@linuxnext I think I haven't done an auto remove. I did a sudo dnf remove of some specific packages that came under the instructions for migrating from GNOME to KDE at Nobara project's website. I will do an auto remove ASAP to see if that helps. I'm a Linux noob, so having a Linux channel like yours is of great aid. Thanks!
5:09 it's not. :) cosmic has never had a test release yet. But they're aiming for the end of 24.03 for a test release, according to their latest blogpost
I'm currently using MX Linux with the XFCE desktop and unfortunately I still have to wait for XFCE to get Wayland support.
Yeah, hopefully xfce start implementing it :)
It's Xfce developement is very slow, so it will take some time before they Wayland support.
are you using Arch btw? 😅
Uuuuh maybeeeeee
Im using endeavour os as i read recently xerolinux distro is shutting down and being replaced with a installer so yes im using arch btw 🫢
And I'm loving it :)
@@linuxnext I think fedora and ubuntu are having plans offering `v3` packages as well
Do you only eat chicken and rice?
Yep 😂
vr pls :(
Nvidia sucks 😖
For us Linux users it does unfortunately.
@@sambcg I'm talking about Linux users only there are still lots of bugs sadly 🙂
@@sambcg I'm using Linux for years as i love it and keep try to fix things, except nvidia everything is great and yes i admit that it's Nvidia fault
first
When will you ever stop distrohopping. Every video You are on a different distrobution. Debian, Fedora, Opensuse, Nobara, than Xerolinux. Atleast stay on one for a month.
Nah, currently using endeavour os, do you think ill make it to a month?
