They nerfed the final fight hard. It's easy to dodge things, Robo-Spongebob takes forever to do anything, and Robot-Plankton takes like a decade to rev up his lazers... I watched the original fight and yeah, the original seems way harder.
I really appreciate how they brought back the old dubbing in the remake. It still sounds so new but I know for a fact that those voice clips were from the original.

I actually think this audio is reused from the original. I played it so much as a kid that I recognize it pretty clearly. Still wish the original actors were in there though. Maybe they were busy at the time of the original?
I don't know what to say to that, except that SpongeBob does not deserve Plankton. I love gay shipping, but not if the pairing is toxic. SpongeBob is such a kind sweet soul that he deserves better than Plankton. Plus, I'm pretty sure if SpongeBob is gonna be gay for anyone, it would be Patrick, since he's closer in age and knows SpongeBob better than anyone (except for Sandy). Either way, if Plankton does in fact like SpongeBob, he's screwed, cause Karen (robot wife) would not appreciate that, and even Eugene Krabs will fight to keep Plankton from marrying SpongeBob..

Given the non-existent continuity of SpongeBob Squarepants, it wouldn't really matter, but that's the closest we'll ever get to a canon age for SpongeBob. So yeah, he could actually be with Plankton if he wanted to, but that's widely dependent on whether or not we believe time exists in this show, and whether or not Plankton is even good for him to begin with..
