Hello! This was a new build and the client left the closet areas open to put built-in units instead. Makes better use of the space, and they can add many different closet accessories such as drawers etc
Yes for the trim pieces what you can do is buy pre-primed so white trim it comes in various different widths so in an ideal world you would be able to find something that's about what you need so you don't need to rip it down you just need to cut the length
Normally I would add blocking but in the particular instance the gap was so narrow about 1 and a quarter inch I just put the side trim in the gap and fastened it in with Brad nails from the inside of the cabinet out. That was more than enough to secure these ones. I'm doing a job now where I'll be adding 2x4 blocking on the side of the cabinet and then putting in 1.5 inch wide trim secured through the front into the blocking which would be the preferred way
It's a fairly small room. 12' x 10 '. This is a new Reno and they left the areas where there would be closets completely open with the intention of doing a built-in
@HomeInstallers yeah it's the perfect little nook to do that! That is great! We have a bedroom that has the teeniest closet and so we are looking to do a pack system on the one wall. But the room is only 10x9 and I feel like it will really make it tiny. Trying to do the best that will work for our family and benefit us in the future when selling since we will only be here a couple more years
One of the best installations on this piece

@@HomeInstallers thanks I’m in UK so it’s not as easy I don’t think but will check it out. Thanks
And could be there problems witg mold?
I don't think so. Mold requires water moisture to grow. So as long as there is not an water leaking you should be good
How did you secure the trim to fill the gaps between wardrobe and wall?

Wondering what is the size of this room please ?

I just did a couple in a room that size but we went with the shorter dept pax units (around 16 inches in depth)
why was there not one there in the first place?
⭐⭐⭐💥💥💥❤️❤️❤️
What is the trim you used on top of the wardrobe?
I used a piece of pine window casing trim. It happened to be the exact size needed to fill the gap.
Losing access to two wall outlets
We actually cut cut out two holes in the back to gain access to the power outlets for charging devices etc
I can't even hang a long dress... Or many clothes...
These are in the kids rooms but I did put in hanging bars just in case. All you need to do is remove some of the shelving to hang longer items
