- Today I finally attempt the thorium reactor only challenge. Blowing up enemies with thorium reactors is a very fun pastime, but I would not recommend it as a full-scale defense. Mostly due to price. It gets EXPENSIVE.

Erekir players, do you remember that one nuke explosion on some of campaign sectors? Well, that was quad with thorium reactor from Serpulo
Want again to give a silly challenge: Build a nova from the start and use it as your main unit. If it dies you failed this challenge. At the same time you can upgrade it to the next tiers.
And some additional rules:
- Start without endgame resources(thorium, plastanium, phaze, kinetic and similar things that I maybe forgot)
- Only 3 Poly allowed.
- Start with first tier core.
- Sector must be hard.
- No pyratite or blast compound from the start.
- Beat a challenge without export hub.

impact reactors when fully fired up will explode (bigger than thorium reactor) if destroyed by the enemy units so you can consider it as a harder (and more expensive) version of this challenge
You should do a challenge where it is a hard sector but a live stream where the viewers get to pick what you use (like what power source, drills or turrets). If you don't do it a stream then use polls to decide.

Challenge 1: a challenge of only using 1x1 and 2x2 turrets and swarmer is banned but the sector is extreme/hard/eradication.
Challenge 2:a challenge where you can only use resources from your core to get resources to turrets/factories, but you can launch with fullest of everything.
Rule for both of the challenges:
1. No export hub

Biggest range in the turret section I think is ripple with blast compound

Idea:use copper walls as protection and shock mines use parrlax turret if there is a aircraft
A challenge idea: try beating a sector without anything from the conveyor tab (no conveyors, routers, overflow gates etc. allowed), you can use Mindustry processors and flares to move items 😉
Use the Mapping Utilities mod to enable payload updates in units (or whatever it is called), basically meaning that turrets will for example fire at enemies while being carried

it would be interesting if you could build a mechanism that automatically feeds the reactor when an enemy aproaches it
You can build logic to disable the reactor, so that you cam put thorium inside and it will only explode if enemies destroy it. You could also make a detection system that triggers an explosion if enemies are about to leave the explosionradius, and a repairlogic for monos that rebuilds everything including the reactor and automatically gets thorium from the core into the reactor
