Farmhouse Christmas Home Tour, Entire House!
Today Anne reveals her Christmas Decorations this year in the old farmhouse! She decorates in farmhouse style and did the living room and front foyer in Northwoods this year. This farmhouse Christmas tour is full of Christmas magic! Walk through our home full of trees, Santas, soft pillows, faux furs, and beautiful fires in the fireplaces. Enjoy the mantles dressed with greens, the tavern and all the lanterns. Cousin Mel helps talk us through the tour as we share decorating tips and antidotes to good decor.

Tom and Anne are Chasing the Dream. They bought an old farmhouse and are renovating it to turn it into a country inn and retreat center. You could say that they bought the farm - and all the things that go along with it at a time when most of their friends are downsizing and getting ready to settle into a condo. Are they crazy?

Hi Melissa - I use Benjamin Moore Pashmina through most of the house - it's a greige. I also use Revolutionary Storm in the tavern and one of the kitchens and that's a little darker. They go really well together. For the white I'm useing Chantilly Lace which I really like. It lightens up the walls in my home which can be so dark since the windows are small.

What is the neutral trim color in the first room. I too paint my woodwork a color with light walls. Very colonial.
Hi Lisa, I use Benjamin Moore Pashmina through much of my downstairs. It's a gray/beige color and goes with everything. Totally neutral!

Jill Wertz thank you! We will have to organize our crazy brains around that one. We both usually see one thing that sparks us and then the whole room comes together off one idea. Like for Mel it was a tree pillow that she did her whole living room around this year in trees. For me, it was the rustic look of my tv cabinet with the bear pillows that brought me into the Nordic theme this year. Thanks for the idea! ❤️❤️

I love my sled too. Your bear is hilarious. Omg, the bell and Pom Pom garland is too cute. I missed that this year. I just ordered those lanterns from hobby lobby. Glad to see them displayed. Can’t wait until they come in. Ok, now I’ve got to do the Nordic Santa’s next year. Great window decor! In addition, I see the hobby lobby pillows on line but seeing them in your home makes me want some. Wasn’t sure what they really looked like in person. Wow, they look very nice. I’ll be ordering those.

Hi Daniel, truthfully - not a Hobby Lobby fan for those very reasons. I wouldn't really say that I promote them, but I did purchase things from them that Christmas, however, I haven't been back since and don't plan on going back.

Do you decorate for Christmas early for Thanksgiving? We don't put up our decs until well into December here in the UK.
Julie Grace hi! I used to wait until after Thanksgiving but it gets so dark and dreary here that I like the lights of the tree. Plus I’m a total Hallmark Christmas movie fanatic and it seems silly to watch Christmas movies with pumpkins on my table? The Christmas movies start in October already. My daughter has a fit that I decorate so early but I found that December gets so busy with parties and other activities that I would feel stressed if I had to decorate on top of that. It takes me 2-3 weeks to get my de orating done and by shopping early I get the best sales and variety! Thanks for watching from the UK! 🎄🎄

Not that it’s ugly because we love it now but initially when we bought the house that room had been sorely neglected and was painted in purple, maroon and other stripes! I am prob the only one that thinks the “yeah, yep, ya ya ya” is overkill. Your house is fabulous, your personality is warm and so friendly and your knowledge of primitives is impressive… but you don’t need all that filler yepping to make your video to flow smoothly. Ok, I’m ready to be slammed. I’ve always believed that if you think the world of someone you want them to excel. This is not meant to be ‘bad mouthing’ you.
