So I got a Hercules Inpulse 200 Running on Djuced. Amazing beginner Controller! Packed with features to get you started! I've learned how to beat match very quickly. I also got the opportunity to use my Brother in-law's setup. He has the Pioneer CDJ 1000 MK3's and the DJM 800 running on Traktor Pro 3 via Timecode cd's. He's been djing for about a century now, mixing EDM, (deep house, Garage etc) I've learned phrasing from him and proper beat counting, and when to use those fancy effects! Comparing my setup to his is like comparing a Nissan Micra to a Lamborghini Huracan. They're both cars, and they both get you from A to B, except the latter is superior in everything. My goal is to master My controller, and eventually switch to a DVS setup. As for my DJing stance, I'd like to be a versatile DJ who can mix everything! Hip Hop, house, trance, Drum and Base, Disco, retro, Country etc. I'd also like to learn how to scratch a bit. but mostly, I'd probably mix house, because that's the genre I enjoy the most. Do you guys have any tips and advices for certain equipment I should use, specifically a Vinyl DVS system, or Should I even go that route since I started with a Controller. or, techniques on DJing? I would greatly appreciate it :)

Vinyls 😄 if only we could get our music pressed on Hemp plastic . Love Vinyl but don’t buy them anymore because of environmental issues but I loooove the sound and feel of vinyl , the album artwork , lyrics printed out and a little bit of history , biog inside . Cassettes too . Nice set by the way and big up to your Papa for supporting the start of your career 👏🏼♥️

people have no idea how difficult it is to hear two diff beats in two diff ears and determine which is too fast or slow, took me 2 years of practice finally comfortable
I'm currently having a whole bunch of trouble with that. Were there any standout tricks or tips that helped you, or is it really just up to time and practice?

What's so good about vinyl. It's just a more difficult, more expensive and more time consuming. Vinyl is not as good as newer ones.
