@@SnaggedBro yeah, the first pools you went to has got big carp and tench in with the odd eel and usual silvers. It used to have big pike too but mostly full of jacks now with the odd bigger one. The top pool was mostly a match pool, loads used to go there for the live bait to go elsewhere 😂. There was an old boy “Pete” fished it all the time and took his mastiff with him. Huge dog and he’d feed him live roach 😂. The second venue “footshole” was stocked by locals, often getting polluted as the rain water from the roads goes in and connected pipes. My old man fished it as a kid. The canal you walked is where I started doing my videos. Where Sean set the hook 😂 is where Dom and Drew came down. Drew ended up catching and moving a jack pike for some match anglers getting pestered by it. Dom just couldn’t understand half the locals 😂😂

Congrats on breaking the year long blank Sean! I've finally got my confidence back in Lure fishing for Pike from recent session after a year long targeting Perch. Managed to get about 6 pikes interested in my lure and only managed to land 1 of them, other 2 managed to escape 😓. Defo going back to Lure fishing for Pike next one

How nice giving those lures they will remember that forever ....and well done Shawn belive me it's not just you my last 3 pike have also failed to hook up one was a double aswell so it's not just you how they manage 2 do it with size 6 pristine sharp trebles is beyond me maybe because on some pressured spots they seem to hit it and keep their mouth open and come of almost immediately I seen all 3 takes

Your set the hook quest .is both heroic!.n .epic!..the thing I also want to know is how do shopping trolleys migrate the way they migrate....to such places..the how and why of it?...Maybe a small stinger hook in those pike flies....that pike... worth its weight in mottled green n gold Reckon..

The second spot does actually have pike it’s near rsa academy and I’ve caught them myself,it’s become very unmanaged and back in the day it was quite the fishing spot you’d always see people at that second spot,fond childhood memories round the pool but it’s flooded and dried a load so might not be many fish now

Recently went around in a car round my local area (about 8 miles each way) and found some carp lakes that aren't advertised. Kinda cool to just drive around, spot water and head to it lol found a lake that was 800 for the year, and it wasn't advertised or even marked on the map as a fishery/lake.
They're always worth a go! Don't know unless you try right?
