Hi Dr. Klim. Just placed an order for a primescan upgrading from an omnicam. Trying to do more porcelain restorations in-house. My milling unit is an mc x. Do you recommend the mc x to mill veneers or should I at least have an mc xl 4 axis milling unit.
I am certain you will appreciate the primescan. It is performing very well. The EF bur mill will provide an excellent veneer mill. This can be performed on both the MC XL and the Primemill. The EF mill on the Primemill is much faster as compared to the MC XL. So I recommend the Primemill option if that can work for the budget. All the best.
Hi Dr. Klim. I also wonder what is your opinion on the 5k dollar hardware upgrade that Sirona offers for the omnicam so that it can run 5.1. Is your omnicam upgraded? If it is, do you see a significant performance increase? Thank you.
For those that upgraded the Omnicam with the windows 10 and 5 software, the scanning is better. I use the primescan exclusively and have retired my Omnicam.
Struggling with soft tissue scans in upper arch. Can’t cover the entire palate. Help!!
Make sure palate is dry. I only take the plate for appliances, though, not usually for study models.
