Following this, the next mission took you onboard a vessel in a fleet and you had to do recovery before it sunk. There were maybe 50 to 100 civilians that were given refuge on the ship you were on. Given the question, here’s my opinion. 50-100 is an estimate. There could be more on the other vessels or maybe they were consolidated into a single ship to stay together. Here’s a fact. Every naval vessel will house an average of 500 people. If like you’re saying, there’s a risk of spies, or not, NO. If you knew that it posed no risk to the security to the fleet, or it’s clandestine operations, then yes. But you don’t know. They can find a place. I doubt the EMP affected steamboats. Some hundred peoples’ lives for roughly five hundred is a bad loss. It’s assets lost, money lost, bodies lost, and more lives put in danger. All ships in the fleet were in danger once one was. That to me, means it also brought refugees back in danger as well, where they’d be unable to help in defenses as well as dividing the present forces responsiveness and the operation space. Short answer: I wouldn’t take them onboard. Also, Pac defied the chain of command by bringing them on board. It was morally correct, but Recker was the commanding officer, and he was under orders too. That would be an open-close dishonorable discharge for several reasons.
