Fantastic! I visited Palm Springs last September, live in Scotland we have great mtb trails too but love the dry surface of this one though the heat for me 😄😎 would have loved to have brought my bike! Thanks for the vid and enjoy your biking!
I just did this trail month or two ago on an e-bike and damn I wish I was clipped in to tackle those switchbacks like that lol. It must have taken me twice as long on the downhill
Daniel K I thought the switchbacks were the best part! Rocked the WTB Vigilante up front and a Trail Boss in the back, perfect combo for SoCal sand and rock. Fast rolling and loads of traction.
It all depends where you shoot the video. If the background includes you moving through of foliage, it requires TH-cam to transfer a lot of data to produce a sharp image. To save data transmission, TH-cam lowers the bitrate dramatically hence the pixelated video. In this video the background is pretty simple which is why the entire frame is so sharp. Specially if you compare sharpness at 0:35 where they are still vs 6:13 where there is more detail in the frame. This concept is called inter frame compression. Tom Scott has an excellent video explaining this if you are interested.
Soban Bhatti Yep! If you look at some of our past videos that are in midday sun and in dense foliage where the light is dappled you'll notice that compression. Videos like this and many of Nate Hill's videos that have awesome views the video quality is super sharp.
The bottom part of that trail, that's my kind of riding. The upper part? It had me reaching for the adult diapers. "...the switchbacks are tight..." That's what I'd call an understatement!
That's insane! Not just switchbacks, they're on the side of a mountain too. Holy Cow!
Wish these guys were still making videos, besides Nate Hills, these are some of the best mountain biking videos on youtube!
Those switchbacks were intense. Awesome riding as usual. Totally digging the Trail Peek sticker on the handlebars too!
is it a sticker or spray painted on ?
Sticker, we'll be getting them out soon
Dude those switch backs were crazy! Too much for me but you killed it!
Great video! You make these corners look so smooth and flowy, loved it.
That was sick Dane! Tight switch backs but very fun! Awesome Views too!
What a beautiful ride, also great riding, I was very impressed with your control on the switch backs. Makes me wish I lived out West. Take care

I was running a WTB Vigilante up front and a Trail Boss out back
Man those switchbacks!!!
That looked fun, besides the sketchy switchbacks. How did the wtbs do?

Superman skills like you have help with switchbacks like that lol. Wtbs might have a part too

Don't worry, you won't be running into me on that trail. Scared me shitless just watching it !!! Great riding though.
Impressive, this trail had switchbacks within switchbacks.

I live right below that trail, done it a lot, no mistakes allowed
Just rode this yesterday, so sick!

this is mad..but i love it !
Bloody hell its tight at the top!
Amazing looking trail!! Must smash asap.
Amazing! Those switchbacks at the top had me wetting myself!
Out of curiosity, what's the elevation at the top? Looks insanely high.
Joel Jackson I think the top is around 2500ft, but the bottom is not very high above sea level. Shoots straight up!
Gnarly hiking trail...
Is that Nate Hills?
Boy, switchback city.
Makes me want to practice my hairpin turn
amazing and scary
nice!
👍 📹
how can u have so much trust in your self bike control to endo around a switch back on a cliffs edge :0
1k views is me🙌🤗
This place makes me cringe. lol. The shear cliff at every switchback makes it gnarly in my book.
Cam Shaft Lots of exposure that's for sure!
talk about sensory overload....nice!
Corners fight!
MrElrabinorapero1984 Nose pivot game on point!
talk about switchbacks
I thought I was a decent rider until watching this.
