This song is one of their early works and was included in their first full-length album "AWAKENING FROM ABYSS" (October 2017), released five months after their major label debut, and this music video was uploaded at the same time. Initially that music video had an announcement of the album release date and concert date and time inserted in it, but they removed the already unnecessary parts and re-uploaded it. In doing so, they also re-uploaded their third music video "The Crusade" (circa June 2018) together, so only these two differ from the actual release date.
Also, the star cymbals on the drums you questioned started when Haruna (drummer), who enjoys making accessories, came up with a way to reuse cymbals that no longer served as instruments, and brought them to a local factory to have them processed and used as drum accessories, which has already become her trademark It has already become her trademark.
This is one of the Lovebites iconic songs with an amazing guitar solo section.

This MV was my first contact with Lovebites, 6 years ago, my favorite band since then.
Great reaction, and glad you got the memo this is their second MV. This is the song that got the band a lot more international attention. Looking forward to the next one, which should be "The Crusade".

The star cymbals are an Haruna 'trade mark'. She was using them when she and Miho, bass, were together in an earlier band, Destrose. They are made from old cymbals that are no longer usable and are mounted in such a way that she can spin them as part of the performance.

Fantastic, incredible, super professional, beautiful...these ladies have everything to go wherever they want. They are only held back by this world of heavy music that is so discriminatory, so sexist, even so supremacist due to the fact that they are Japanese, when they do not realize that the present and future of rock is in Asia.
And this tremendous song gets better and better with each live version.
"Shadowmaker" was the first song I heard of the Lovebites. So they abducted my soul. So I fell forever in their spell🙂

This is why Lovebites are the Metal Queens 🤘. This is one of my favorite songs by them and one that made them break out. Both the MV and Live are great, but I prefer the MV a bit more.
