Hi Alf..i was looking at the festival brews...may get one to try...out of all the lagers I've tried i would recommend the Coopers European Lager...but make sure you pimp it up with dry malt or liquid malt
Thanks for sharing, I've been seeking the milestone range of kits here in Oz but had no luck, so have always been curious to how they taste. Disappointed to hear they have a mild hop taste as I prefer my IPA's to have a bit more flavour other than malt.
Hi Mate...I think most extract kits suffer from low hop profile...however i'm doing some brew experiments soon adding hops to some kits to hop them up a bit.
busy sorting out some hop experiments mate....got some leaf hops and getting some pellet hops...i do like a hoppy pint. apparently the IPA was supposed to be hoppy...there is always the next brew.
I agree with WBUK's comment as the Coopers European lager kits sell out very fast here in Ireland (didn't get a chance to even get a kit myself they sell out so fast here) so it has to be a good one ;) And use the Malt !
Oy Dave, I've brewed this kit as well, and it didn't turn out very well at all IMO. Really lacked some body. I've also brewed the St. Peters IPA, which came out much better. Gonna do another St. Peters IPA brew but with added cascade hop tea!
hi another nice vid just wondering if you have come across an ipa simular to pedigree ipa ? also like me i noticed you enjoyed the woodfords nog (drank mine way to soon as it was morish) i have had a festival old suffolk strong ale in the barrel for only 2 weeks, and oh my giddy aunt....sampled whilst in garage and had to get another pint very moerish a bit thicker than nog. also have you come across any lager simular to carlsberg export? thanks
I tried a Milestone a few weeks ago and for the money I'm disappointed. It was the Milestone Crusader which was meant to be a Belgium styled blonde ale. I don't think I'll be buying it again certainly not for the price I paid. For the same amount I could have bought a St Peters kit.
fursey, if you find those kits here in oz let me know!! Dave, good vids, i recently made a nice hoppy dark xmas ale i think you'd like, if i was still in Ireland i'd send you one!!
Bloody hell Dave that poured so smoothly...
A great video, pal. True dedication.
Hi Dave, i wasnt pleased with any of the milstone kits when i did them, not good enough for the price.
