Just did this today. Thanks for providing this vid. It took forever but you outlines 99% of the steps. In my accord i also had to remove a top screw behind the wheel well. Like Mudflap. Anyone that does this will realize something else needs to be done when the bumper gets hung up. Other than that minor issue this was a perfect video. Thanks a million. Its still an absurd design that the light and the bumper are NOT independent of each other.

The new one doesn't have those 2 bolts under the bumper. Obviously they are not necessary.
@@terzyx But to be able to remove the older tail lights we still need to take off the bumper to get rid of the 2 bolts right?
You actually don’t, u could just loosen the top portion, thats all that’s necessary

I seen a video where a dude did it just through the trunk. Not sure why they removed the bumper. Seems unnecessary for just replacing the bulbs.
For anyone doing this projects I just did it and the 4 inside nuts on the assembly were not 10 mm but 5/16
