I have a classic Buck 110 that I got about 20 years ago now, however I picked up a 112 Ranger Lightweight about a year ago. Both are great knives and I have to agree with you about both Buck's good quality and their decent heat treat as well. Thanks for sharing. Cheers!
I'm more of a 110 kind of hick. I always belt carry these days but way back when, I just toted it in my pocket. Recently picked up a vintage, circa 78, 112 2-dot (No nail nick) MIB. Score!
I have my share of newer version knives like Benchmade, Spyderco, and Civivi, but I have really gone back to basics in many ways and have preferred the robust abilities of my 112. It’s amazing how when someone asks for a knife they tend to what to know what for first. Then they don’t want to harm their $300 pocket piece. No way! I gladly put my 112 to work. It was made for hard work. If your knife can’t handle everything then you don’t need to be carrying a knife.
I've carried a 110 on and off since about 76'' I used to carry it in my back pocket then sometime in the 90's I bought that little pen knife the 112 lol and Just carried it in my side pocket. It's all in what you get used to I think
The first 112 and 110 models had no nail nick in the blade and only had three pins on the scales. That is good way to tell the new ones from the first ones. The belt case is stamped 112 or 110 that came with the knife. 🙂

I think my only concern with handing someone my knife is them prying with it or some other silly non cutting thing.
What a classic. I love my 112 ranger with finger grooves
Great Classic design!!

Good to know info. I have seen some of your posts on other channels (i.e. Tobias and Paddy so thanks again for sharing, I learn a lot from you guys. )
I love me some Buck 112 buddy!!
I own 112 it's a cooler knife
Yes you should know when the 112 came out ( 1964) if you want to make credible videos here on the Buck brand n history
Wouldn't 1964 be the 110?
According to the Buck website, the 112 was first made available for sale in 1972.
