"THE JUDGE",(a 1-of-a-Kind, Hand Made, Weight pulling sled), uses a complex system of gears to move weights up to 65 pounds or MORE. Upon starting, all the weights are over the sled's rear axles, to give an effective weight of the sled plus zero. As the RC Truck travels the course, the weights are pushed forward of the sled's axles, pushing the front of the sled into the ground, synthetically creating a gain in weight until the RC Truck is no longer able to overcome the force of friction.
This is our Fifth Year filming this Awesome Event that we call the RC STTC! It's a Scale Tough Truck Challenge for 1/10th Sized, ELECTRiC 4X4 Radio Control Trail Trucks. This year, we at RCSparks Studio has the pleasure of filming Krazy Joe and the Rude Boyz RC Club put on a SPECTACULAR EVENT!
Hosted in Mclean Creek, Alberta Canada - these Rude Boyz never fail to impress us with the amount of time, effort, energy and sheer drive they have. Tirelessly working to see that the Attendees and the Viewers of RC ADVENTURES get an AMAZiNG SHOW. A completely unique experience each, and every year! They are always pioneering new ideas, and skillfully executing these gatherings. It is really awesome to see so many folks come together to have a day of Fun in the Sun, and some Scale Truck Madness!
The Goal of a Tough Truck Competition is to build the beefiest Truck that can withstand a Day of Torturous events! These trucks are build on a Ladder Frame Chassis or a Tube-based Buggy Chassis, and are Mostly Custom built to the Drivers Specifications & Driving Style. You are NOT allowed to switch out any parts, or battery sizes. What you come with - is what you Compete with! Most events are Distance, or Time based.
YES - there are EXTRA POiNTS awarded to those competitors who want to try to pull trailers! You get extra points awarded for the scale accessories - but BEWARE - trailers can be your DOOM!
A Special "Thank YOU" goes to Krazy Joe and the Rude Boyz RC Club for putting on a great event! We thought we had to cancel it all this year, do to Massive flooding in our Province - but, rescheduled for months later - and through a LOT of Hard work.. as a team, we were able to pull it all together and get this EPiC RC EVENT and Video Series out to the RC ADDiCTS of the WORLD! Let's Hear it for Krazy JOE and the Rude Boyz RC CLUB! Patrick, Neil, PM HobbyCraft, The Cooks, Everyone who helps but this event together - Helps us spread the hobby even further :)
For the First Time I had someone other than JEM assisting me with the Filming of this Great Event.. as JEM is currently Pregnant with our First Child!
Everett has been assisting me with Filming in the RCSparks Studio, as well as getting out into the field to film these amazing events I attend. Not only that he has brought a new dynamic to RC ADVENTURES. Without his help, filming the Rude Boyz RC Club 2013 TTC would have been even more difficult! Thanks Everett, you just helped entertain Hundreds of thousands of people! I couldn't have done it without ya!

The TTC event I was waiting for! The Judge worked and looks great, very well done to DJ jr for that sled build, so cool. Great job on the filming of the pulls Arron & Everett. Thumbs Up.

The Judge is one of the coolest things i've ever seen in the RC world.

At the start of this video it was really to see how you have got the experience through the years with filming model cars and making them look very realistic.
For the first moments in this video I had the impression that the Judge was a 1:1 scale pullingsled, nice filming with the right camera angles !!!

Sorry, I don't have an opinion on that because I have limited experience with Bikes. I have only used 1.. and it was "ok".. :)

Great vid :-). The only thing i would have done was made sure the rails on the judge were clean for every round so the weight platform could roll without restriction. After all its part of the whole moving rig. Cheers

a truck I built off random parts from old rc around the house pulled thirty pounds on a sled so I'm surprised those trucks couldn't do it easily
But Medic, don't you always say that that's part of the fun? All part of RCing? lol ;) You've built an inspiringly epic piece of mechanical art. A mastery of metal & mayhem. Though expensive, is it truly right to just shelve such a magnificent machine? When you can risk a repair or two to inspire literally hundreds of thousands of people around the planet. Brake & rebuild bigger & better, we have the technology.

tip for next year, have a much shorter chain length, only huge 4x4 tractors use a large chain like that when pulling! for scale refference a 1:1 sled has about an 4-5ft chain and mounts much higher on the pull vehicles chasis!

I agree. My first post was only a joke. Obviously pulling it with your hands or picking it up would defeat the purpose of a RC sled pull.

Call it the scale sled carry, where everyone takes turns picking up a scale sled and carrying it until they get tired. Whoever goes the furthest wins!
My truck pulled 4.25 markers, I think running early in the event helped a lot due to the loosening of the dirt later on. I think the extra traction from the duallies helped me a LOT in this event as well. Luckily my hitch did not give in lol :)

when the capo build and filming it is ready, maybe start a some cind of "mayhem" build.....just some cool scale rc and put the biggest motor/motors to it and make it just sooo grazy :D oooooor maybe budjet scale build and guiding what to get or something.
