    I add onions in my beets, carrots, cucumber, lemon, chai seeds, ginger, mint, cinnamon smoothies and it helps me maintain regularity, relaxes me helps me with clear vision, keeps my oral hygiene healthy and makes my skin glow. To get rid of the onion breath, brush your teeth and gargle with food grade hydrogen peroxide or gargle with baking soda and water. Thank you for this video.

      That is quite some smoothie. I add a raw egg, peanut butter, and dessicated coconut, and banana. Followed by a freezing cold shower I used to be terrified off, but now I look forward to it, and I save a fortune on my power bill. I also brush my teeth with baking soda, and rinse/gargele with hydrogen peroxide.

    I knew onions were good for you. They’re in the alicin family.just like garlic. When I was younger, I always preferred onions over garlic. Now I just like both of them equally.Here is a recipe I used to put onions, whole in the oven with the skins on and bake them until they were soft. Depending on the size of the onion is how long you cook them in the oven. And they are delicious that way.Happy New Year and of course a healthy one.

    I eat 1 large red onion raw spread over 2 days years on end. Hint: I am 75 yo and walk outside 3 to 10 miles per day at military marching pace swinging those arms using the cadence your left, right Left as performed in USAF boot camp. Crossing 4 divided lanes of Kansas City, MO streets I show off a tad by doing double time.❤

    I put onions in Tuna salad, soup, sandwich, potato/eggs/bacon sort of breakfasts, burritos, raw on hotdogs, with liver, slightly cooked on philly-cheese steak style hot sandwich sort of dishes, and a lot more.
    Basically, any beef, chicken, or potato dish can contain onions. So can any salad.
    The only way I don't see onions making sense is if they are part of a ham-steak meal or in a smoothie or with a lot of dairy or something, but even then you still have onion wines and chip dips where the dairy-based dip will have some kind of onion powder or flavoring in it.

      Thanks, I'm glad you found the video helpful! All onions have benefits, but red onions top the list for their high antioxidant content. Shallots are great too. For versatility, try incorporating a mix - sweet for salads, white for cooking, and yellow for the anti-inflammatory quercetin. Eating a variety will help maximize the health benefits. Enjoy!

      Here in the extreme North Western portion of California, I grow average of various produce including yellow, white and sweet onion. We’ve been picking onions for years. The allicin, quercetin, fisetin, di sulphide and trisulphide content stays the same and is extremely healthy for mortal human being’s. We use “ Ball “ glass canning jars for good measure. Best of health to you all fellow TH-camr’s …🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

      Hey there! Great question! For maximum benefits, aim for 1-2 onions per week eaten raw in salads, salsas, etc. Cooked in meals is great too, just don't overcook. Eating with main meals helps absorption. Mix up the types - red, white, shallots for different nutrients. Let me know if you need recipe ideas! The consumption is also a matter of personal taste; many people eat onions every day. Thank you for watching! 💚

    Sulphur… that’s just one of the compounds amongst many others that makes onions so darn great and ever more powerful - the reds are better than whites although I do love both… remember though to remove the heart from an onion before you consume it as this part is quite indigestible… doesn’t break down in the gut and is mainly responsible for the episodes of bloating.. gut discomfort and excessive gas in most humans…
    Thank you
    Cheerio;)

    He recommended to eat 100 grams of onions daily. It could have helped if he had shown how much is 100 grams of chopped or sliced onions.

    Forget all the exotic spices. Just eat raw onions. I can eat raw onion in the same way as other people eat chocolate. I'm not joking. 😮

    Just watch out, after they are diced, they go bad if not refrigerated and cause food poisoning. A fast food restaurant had it happen before they learned

      Love the dedication! Goes to show how tasty and crunchy they can be. You're getting all those good antioxidants and compounds to boost immunity when they're uncooked too. If munching them whole is your thing, hey, embrace it! We all have our own ways of getting those health perks from onions. Keep spreading that onion love!🧅💚

      And apples like onions?

  • @jethrot100

    If I soak my onions in vinegar for an hour or so would I still get all the benefits of eating raw onion. I had an uncle who would eat an onion like an apple. But I can't

    • @IncrediblyHealthy
      @IncrediblyHealthy  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Soaking onions in vinegar probably keeps most of their nutrients intact. It might lower some water-soluble ones a bit, but the good stuff should still be there. If raw onions are too intense for you, try:
      - Slicing them really thin
      - Choosing milder types
      - Adding them to salads or salsas
      - Lightly cooking them
      You don't have to eat raw onions straight to get the benefits. Just include them in your meals however you like!

    If science could find a way to prevent mass bloating when eating an onion , then I would consider it. I look like i'm nine and a half to ten months pregnant when I eat an onion.

    • @IncrediblyHealthy
      @IncrediblyHealthy  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, some people have allergies to onion and garlic. Due to specific proteins or compounds found in these ingredients.
