Now I just like both of them equally.Here is a recipe I used to put onions, whole in the oven with the skins on and bake them until they were soft. Since I discovered - quite by accident, visiting a Middle Eastern country - how beneficial raw onions are for my digestion, I have at least 1 raw onion a day, mostly the red variety.
I put onions in Tuna salad, soup, sandwich, potato/eggs/bacon sort of breakfasts, burritos, raw on hotdogs, with liver, slightly cooked on philly-cheese steak style hot sandwich sort of dishes, and a lot more. Basically, any beef, chicken, or potato dish can contain onions. So can any salad. The only way I don't see onions making sense is if they are part of a ham-steak meal or in a smoothie or with a lot of dairy or something, but even then you still have onion wines and chip dips where the dairy-based dip will have some kind of onion powder or flavoring in it.
