During WW2 the Japanese turned it into a prison for American civilians. When people criticize America for Hiroshima and Nagasaki I remind them that the Japanese were trying to hurt defenseless civilians, there were military targets in those cities and war related industry. Also when the U.S. was liberating Manila the Japanese killed more than 100.000 Filipino civilians more than at Hiroshima.

Very true, we Filipinas were raised to become independent. I was 7yo when I was taught by my parents to sell garlic and onion and I enjoyed it cause I can get commission by selling. At 9yo I was already cooking rice, fried pork, egg or fish. At 13yo I travelled school - home vice versa by a jeepney no one fetches me. At 16yo I helped my parents at home and in our eatery where I served as waitress, dishwasher, cashier because I want to help my parents as I see how they struggle so much for sending us to school. At 18yo I started cooking savory meals then I became a graduate of bachelor's degree at 20yo. Now I have my own food business and I owe it to my parents who raised me the Filipino way.

Brigette just said the household is a reflection on me and I pride myself of clean home. I love my husband, he shows me love and he is the head of the household. I am a Filipina doctor, speak Tagalog, German and English, did a postgrad fellowship in the US, have 3 girls who speak Tagalog, English, Spanish, Japanese and Korean. And you want to know a secret? Everyone speaks at least 3 languages, and 4 of us understand at least 1 or 2 more, including a tribal language of an indigenous people group. I'm a high school principal in a US school, have taught calculus in the same school for 30 years. At 66, I'm finishing up a doctorate degree in a US university. How much more education do I need. I am a white middle-aged male nurse. There are a lot of Filipina nurses in the hospital I used to work at and they are all very nice people. They by the most expensive handbags but, they only buy one. The only reason they buy the more expensive one is that it's a symbol of how far they've come after doing all the hard work to get to where they are. They Don't really Care about how much the purse cost and would be perfectly happy with a department store bag that cost 50 bucks. Unlike American women who just want to "get the bag" because of its material value.

I am a Filipina, born and raised. English is my 2nd language but I speak 5 languages and currently studying my 6th & 7th language which is Arabic & Darija (Moroccan Arabic). English might not be my 1st language but I am using it on my everyday life. I am proud to say that I am Filipina and will always remain humble. I would also like to leave some words to the haters of non-native English speakers: "if ever you have encountered people who are non-native English speakers and able to communicate with them properly, please bare in mind that they might speak not only 2 or 3 languages, it could be 4-7 languages. So, please remember that English is not the only way for communication, some may not be sounded as you are but we are extremely fluent with their first language."

There is a saying in the Philippines:
    - The father is the pillar of the home. The mother is the light of the home.
Should the father be irresponsible and becomes a weak pillar but as long as the mother stays being the guiding light of the home, the children, though somewhat broken inside having that kind of father, will still thrive and one day will become better parents themselves. That’s how important a traditional mother is in the Philippines.
Imagine a single mother always telling their sons “you are just as the devil your father was….” or telling their daughters, “look at me. I am the best example as to why you don’t need a man coz men are trash. Just go out there and break as many men’s hearts as you can . Shake that booty girl…”
That would be disastrous but here in the Philippines, even single moms teach their daughters how to be a traditional wife & to not repeat the same mistakes that they did.

WE can do it all at the same time as we understand our roles and we never complain about it because it is our language of love. This is not a matter of being uneducated or needing to be saved from poverty; it’s simply a cultural difference. Culturally, women from these backgrounds are raised to be very family orientated and nurturing. A big part of our culture is revolves around sharing food with our loved ones during family time so naturally cooking is one of our love languages.
It is not about of being submissive or subservient, it’s simply about showing our love and care to the person that we love in return. For a man who has previously been shown hardly appreciation for the things they do in a relationship, I can imagine being shown a little appreciation must go a long way.
The women in these videos have obviously never travelled to these countries or have not done any research on them if they’re quick to make the generalisation that we are uneducated. I’m a Filipina living in Australia, a nurse and I speak 3 languages ranging from fluent, to an intermediate level and have just started learning a 4th. I’m curious as to how many languages these educated women from America in these videos speak.

In the Philippines, we value education because as our parents said, "Education is a valuable thing no one can ever take away from you." Also, we are raised to be traditional women-- we cook, clean, and take care of our family. These traditional female characteristics are heavy on those who were raised by the older generation. Now, I see and meet Filipinas who can't cook. Nevertheless, we still have a lot to bring to the table.

I’m from Thailand. Moved to the US when I was 16. I’m an RN with a bachelors degree. I’m fluent in both English and Thai that most people won’t even know I wasn’t born in the US. My husband is American and as white as they come. I’m not “submissive” in any capacities. In fact, my husband will tell you I’m quite sassy and I’m a tiger mama to our 2 babies. My husband always tells people that the thing he was most attracted to me was my family values, which we have in common. We like traditional roles and we put family first. We are also both of Christian faith. I’m not easily offended and I’m not “woke”. I guess that is a rare thing to find among American women. It’s the values that are attractive not the inability to speak proper English or speak up for ourselves. Oh and I already have a green card even before hubby and I met so I guess I don’t really fit in that category typical “mail-ordered brides” or “green card girlies”.

Much like Filipinas. Not "submissive" just decent kind and loving. Traditionally the husband is the head, but also the wife is the neck that turns the head any way she want to. You foreign women know that you can get more out of us by being a partner than by being a nag. My wife is a Filipina, I want to do good for here because she does good for me. Modern Boss Babes are competing against men, men want the traditional "the two will become one flesh".

    • @BestPropertyDealz
      @BestPropertyDealz ปีที่แล้ว

You obviously don't understand what submission means. Only a woman who plays her traditional role could describe herself as submissive. Furthermore, a traditional family with Christian values is one in which the husband leads in his masculine role while the worth supports (submissive) in her feminine role.
Submission doesn't equal slavery as most of you women have been deceived to believe.
Submission means you're the opposite of oppressive.

I have been to a lot of interviews around Europe, and why they call me because they saw in my CV I am a Filipina, they loved our work ethics.

I do not have any problem with the women of other countries. Or even the men that go after them. More power to them! I am a tradition woman looking for the same. I am business focused, and I am looking for the same. If they are happy more power to them!

After college, my job sent me to Asia... I married a Filipina ... that was 40 years ago... I realized long ago that I didn't want an American wife... we have two kids... both are doctors.. my wife is an RN... we are both retired now.. we own 2 homes in the USA and 1 in the Philippines and no mortgages.... I was surely blessed meeting my Filipino wife who speaks 3 languages and 4 dialects and has a masters degree.

Ive been married for 13years, the secret is that I respect my husband as the head of the family, i support him, i treat him as my first born son. And in return he loves me unconditionally. happy wife, happy life. In marriage, its takes two to tango. We Filipinos values Family. And Marriage is sacred. 3 of my girl Friends were married to different foreigner (swedish, american, french) and none of them gets a divorce, they still live a happy married life and build a hapoy family to where they are right now, Thats why I can attest Filipinas can be a wife material, just choose wisely.

I am Filipino and my wife is mixed Filipino-American, and we are living in WA. I buy most of the ingredients and my wife does the cooking. Because she also works, she cooks 4 to 6 dishes for lunches and dinners, during her days off for the entire week. She cooks breakfast almost daily. Marriage is a 2-way street.

We just love our men. Simple. We let them feel it through actions and words. It doesn't matter where they come from or what race they belong to. What is important is that we respect them and make them happy. Is that too hard to understand?

I have a friend who married a Philippina Doctor (surgeon) who speaks several languages is highly educated and very traditional in her relationship with her husband. American independent women have no clue, these women are smart, kind, warm-hearted, traditional, and have morals. The Philippines is about 70% Catholic and these women still have values that make them great wives.

The moment you mentioned "Philippines, Thailand" Expect a Clap back from the whole Asian Countries it will just end up until you all apologize 🤣 You generalize the 3 countries according to what you hear...Its true that there a littlw percentage of women who marry a Western guy that the marriage did not work out...But if you haven't been in such country then don't comment something you're not sure of....In my country even a 1st grader they are taught English and our textbooks are written in English except for the Tagalog and Visayan subject....Basically 1st grader can understand 3 languages and you can only speak English so what are you?🤣 goodluck to your mental health girl!

Filipinas get into your hearts, and heads diffirently. I got caught cheating once because I was really an a$sh0l& during my younger years.😅 she cooked us a nice dinner, she didn't nag... she didn't make any sarcastic remarks... she just cried silently and asked me a question: what did i do to you to deserve this? That question changed me forever. 17 years of being together and counting... not always the happiest, but definetly the best years of my life!

Haha..this is so funny! I just came across this vid of yours then was curious and watched the cause of this uproar with women😂 Well, I wasn't supposed to waste my time writing comments and sending feedbacks with the negative comments but I just want others to know. I am a Filipina and that's kinda offensive! I have lots of Black American and European friends and I love them. Those women don't represent all same with us Asians. Just support each other! Women's power💪👈.. This is from a Filipina English teacher abroad who taught English to other countries and who had travelled around the world. Independent, broad minded and beautiful! Haha..joke😂 Peace to all❤

I'm Filipina who emigrated here in USA as a nurse. I came here legally and was interviewed by 5 American leaders in the Philippines. I passed US Board twice (once when I was still in the Philippines and again here in US). I was able to function well because of my knowledge and understanding of English language. One cannot generalized a race for just meeting one filipino.

Helpful Tip From a Native Filipina: When they introduce you to family, that means they are serious about you and has intentions of marrying you someday. And the reason why we treat our passport bros well is because we are a god-fearing country, so basically we're more family-oriented and value our morals; We're the type of people who would normally still have connections with distant family members. So if you decide to marry a filipina, be ready to have a huge family coming from your partner's side.

I showed my irish husband that black woman's video and he called her jealous b**ch 😁
I love my husband and i take care of him the best way i know how and the way my parents taught me how to do it, nothing wrong with that.
Probably not all filipinos can speak straight english but i tell you they will understand you and they can utter a word or two for you to understand them. Language will be the least of your concern if you decide to visit the country.
