- Gashmeer Mahajani has gone through one of the biggest emotional upheavals last year - when he lost his father Ravindra Mahajani. While the celebrated Marathi actor reveals his father was not in touch with the family and had blocked him for the last three years, he also explains the pain and angst he went through as a son coming to terms with his death. While he was battling one of the most emotional lows in his life, media speculations and news channels made a whole mockery out of the situation and their relationship. Did he get affected? Gashmeer answers in the positive and explains how despite everything that was being specualted, he maintained a stoic silence on the whole matter, only to have broken silence when a comment from a friend in the Media irked him. In this candid chat only on Galatta India, Gashmeer tells host Nayandeep Rakshit about his idea of pain, loss and grief and having to deal with it. He shares he almost became suicidal beyond a point but held himself back because of his son and his ailing mother. He narrates the whole story of how he found out about his father's death and what followed post that in this honest chat, and equated his own health issues with his traumatic childhood where he saw a lot of domestic violence. Oh god I couldn't have ever imagined gashmeer saying something like that...makes me feel so sad, sometimes life can be really cruel without any fault of ours, I am glad you are gradually coming out of it, please be nicer to yourself and to people around you, precisely your family, you are their strongest support system so are they for you...rest everything will be taken care of by God.
