if there weren’t only 2 ways to suppress enemies collective obligation would be even more bonkers
Remember that titans also have 2 ways because of shield bash, and that is obviously more accessible then tether

@@sirfeint6302 yep, and the only other sources are: warlock transcendence grenade, ruinous effigy orb heavy attack, tractor cannon, two tailed fox and wavesplitter after picking up an orb, so suppression is no where near as accessible as the other void debuffs
Man, hearing how much fun you're having reminds me of when all my friends played PVP and we could try stuff like this. It's been years now. Didn't know how good we had it.

i feel like they just need to remove at least one of the holy trinity ( threaded specter, swarm nade, and smoke bomb) just 1 of them being removed would make prism hunter a little worse
Increase dodge cooldown. remove smoke and replace winter shroud with shatterdive

Smoke bomb has never been an issue, I say remove shadow clone, replace it with ensnaring slam
I think if they gave threaded specter an innate added cooldown probably 2-3x longer than something like bakris dodge, it'd be much better. Each hunter would still have 2 smokes off the rip, but an added +30 sec CD on the dodge wouldn't gut the class imo.
Collective is a lot of fun if you play into the loop, works really well on voidlock with child + suppressor
I've been debating what they could do for a catalyst, and the option that I think would benefit it is destabilizing rounds for self-proccable leaching

I hate smoke bomb because it has everything at once. It deals damage, steals radar, makes you blind, slows you and your ability to change weapons. If the hunter misses you it stays in place and messes with your radar for quite a while and shuts down an area. You can distroy it but this just causes it to explode. Last but not least it can be used to get invisible and is easy rechargeable through a dodge or by using monte carlo. Their is no other melee in the game doing nearly that much.
Yeah, they basically have the best grenade in the game (for pvp) as a melee, and then the second best pvp grenade as their... grenade
I was running collective obligation on my voidlock this past weekend in trials. It was a lot of fun.
As a collective obligation enthusiast I’ll happily be one of those 5 friends to play 6’s with you cammy
The theory is great just one problem.
I need a raid team and ALOT of lucky charms
And an ornament cause otherwise the scope is too ugly.
Collective Obligation my Beloved
Collective is so goated. Typically run it with my briarbinds voidlock, but was running it since witch queen. One of my all time favorite weapons frfr.
Just make the melee regen for hunter dodge enemy based. Meaning each enemy within the required radius gives 25 or 33% of the cooldown back, rather than having a full cooldown on 1 enemy. That creates a problem where hunters have 2 ability cooldowns on 1 stat (mobility) and creates an issue of back to back smoke bomb spamming with no cooldown. They could also keep the number at 100% for pve so that combi blow doesn’t get hit
Suppression rounds shutting down supers = dopamine flow. I enjoy it way more than Elsie’s.
You can do this with wave splitter and an orb, pair it with devour and shoot to loot and you have a super fun ability chain build
I feel like prismatic hunter would be 10 times better to play against if they had Tripmine grenades instead of swarm grenades

I still think threaded specter is the worst it just makes every hunter play so boring and passive the combat flow is awful. Like playing hide and seek with all the clones and smokes on your radar.

Collective works better on both Titan and Warlock since you can get all 3 debuffs on titan with a single grenade and use a Bastion rally barricade and Precious Scars or use Secant Filaments on warlock to get devour and easy weakens with the void orb.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who loves the bottomless mag and easy champ stuns.

ive been running an armamentarium void titan for the increased suppressor grenade regen, its been fun.
I would love for them to switch threaded specter with ensnaring slam and swarm for tripmine. I say this as a prismatic hunter main. I hate the bs of triple prismatic hunter spam- all using three sixth coyote or the class item with spirit of coyote. Dodge giving slow, threaded specter, smoke melee recharge is ridiculous. If they really knock down hunter I do hope they fix titan with knockout making a diamond lance or finally nerf the rubber banding nonsense that is knockout.
They should make collective get debuffs from classes other than void, that would immediately make it an S tier weapon

I feel the same way about pantheon that most players feel about dysjunction. I hate that map. I wish it was never brought back. I don't think it plays well in any mode.

Chill clip only applies to GL direct impact. The splash dmg doesn't apply it
I don't think smoke in itself is an issue and I don't think specter deserved the nerf it got. I think specter needs swapping and smoke needs competition. I feel like the only issue is how common they are, and being a nuisance more than they're powerful, it makes sense. Just swap threaded specter for something else, not ensnaring slam because it's another ability like specter in that I've never had it get me killed but it still annoys the hell out of me, and swap in lightweight knife over knife trick because knife trick is utterly useless, and then there's something other than smoke that's worth using in pvp.

When I am playing crucible I barely use my abilities I prefer to get killed by a shotgun than getting killed by an ability

Hey cammy love the video, in my opinion try collective obligation on void titan, you can get all 3 debuffs from one grenade. Then just run an exotic class item with the perk that gives 2 grenades. It feels way more consistent that way in my experience

I do believe that Bungie tests their own games...BUT How tf did they ship primsatic hunter in its current state in pvp? The amount of shit they throw all over the arena is so insanely overkill, it would take only 1 match against competent pvp players using this to come to this realization if I were testing this. This compounded with the fact that most people playing trials /comp are these crazy gremlin degens that only interact with the pvp side of the game, its really killing the mode for average skilled players that enjoy both pvp and pve. I feel like I can't play with friends anymore unless I want every match to be an utter sweat fest going to 5-4 every game, and solo que is just an RNG slot machine that just feels like you are prescribed scripted losses you hardly have any control over due to the "team balancing". I don't know how I am expected to play and compete when I get 2 people that are 20-30 light below pinnacle level on my team where as the other team has people with 100s of flawlesses. It really feels like Bungie hand picks account to milk them for playtime sometimes 😅

Abilities make PvP fun, but spam definitely hurts the gunplay, which should also be fun
