    in the "olden" days you were replacing injectors, injector washers and other mechanical components, now it's emission "crap", I have done a lot of those eolyse tanks the last couple of years, and Mercedes is not doing any better with there adblue tanks going out left and right, and they arent cheap either :), but love your video's its great getting some small tips and tricks for trouble shooting

    Had the same issue with the 1.6 expert. I tried to configure the new tank with launch, but it wouldn't let me. A lot of head scratching later, I manually put it in as a berlingo and it configured straight away. Apart from a nox sensor replacement a year later, no other issues. Hope this helps someone, fair play Jimmy.

    Hi Jimmy, love your videos, I’ve learnt a lot from them. With this issue the cause is usually an incoherence between the configuration of the engine ECU and the additive ECU. Usually after tank replaced or after someone has filled tank with more than 1 litre and think they need to change the configuration to the amount they’ve put in. Check engine ECU live data for additive tank volume e.g 1440ml and make sure additive live data is the same e.g 1.44 litres. If the additive is at 1.00 litres an auto configuration of the reservoir should be done. If this does not change the value a manual configuration should be done as data on server is sometimes wrong. Volume should be coherent between engine ECU and additive ECU and also the two parameters in the engine for volume should be the same after resetting the level counters which need to be done in both ECUs. May also need to add 10 litres of diesel after to force the pump to inject additive and make sure no codes return. I’ve seen this many times but mainly on Peugeots as that’s what I do everyday.       I spent over 10 years braking Peugeot's and Citroen's. That is a over complicated and nearly impossible procedure to figure out yet easy enough when you know what to do I have a feeling your probably spot on.

    I’m getting through your videos and trying to learn how to sort my Ford Ranger pickup as it has a blocked dpf but I know it will be the vapourizer as well . Trying to make my mind up which obd reader to get . Obviously one that will do the forced regen tho .

    Seriously if the dealer cannot fix the vehicle with factory replacement parts then what is Citroens strategy as a manufacturer here ? Hope the owner will give up and buy a new van ? Completely unacceptable.

    The car is over the preprogrammed PSA life of the dpf, you showed it wasn't reset in km it was like 230.000. Earlier you posted videos that the ecu will prevent regen then, so why disable the additive tank instead of resetting that km/miles counter first ?

    If you change the configuration to "By Wired Pump" that should do it 😁 I've seen this configuration changed multiple times now.

    You need to go to configuration in the BSI like you did and configure the additive tank by wire. This will then get rid of additive tank fault and it will use the additive properly and regen the dpf itself

    Had the problem myself. Citroen dealer couldn't program it (still charged me £130 labour!) Tomo wanted me to pay for another tank while they assessed wether it would be warranty. No chance, I hated admitting defeat but this was ridiculous so I deleted it too.

    If one has a van that they think (and hope) is a "keeper", is it worth having the DPF cleaned on a milage or number of years basis to avoid any potential faults appearing? Thanks for posting, love your videos.

    Alas decoding the eolys will cause repeated regens when it doesn't inject the eolys anymore. Clean the dpf of ash, reset the life span, and make sure the eoyls is then working.

    Hi Jimmy, I've got a 2.0L 2015 Expert van with 110k on the clock, while I was servicing it I tapped the additive tank and it was clearly almost empty, no lights on the dash, so I've refilled the tank, so far so good, do you know if this will this stop the EML light from coming on? Cheers

    Shame he didn’t opt for the overdue service to be done too 🫤 I’ve got the 1.5 blue and service every 7k regardless of the Citroen manual. Also heard running the ad blue low can cause issues not sure if that’s true

    If u tell car that additive tank is not there anymore, dpf starts doing forced burns every 20-50km. This is not a solution

    I've tried deleting the pats tank on a C4 and it caused a whole heap of dpf faults constantly
