So many people try to make product review videos and they are either way too long, they try to be funny, or they're just not plain not good. This was 11/10, brother. Concise, detailed, easy to follow, and you really broke down each new feature in simple but perfect detail. You have officially sold me. Ordering one now. Love from Toronto.
That’s an awesome new feature. With me being a keyboard player I’d wait for the SL when they update it. It would be nice to have a Launchpad with a screen finally
I got an SL mk3 last year and now they got the mk4s releasing soon?! Well I assume cause launch key is the cheaper version. Had an mk2 before this keyboard for over a decade. Novation makes such great controllers.
I love the MK3 mini as it fits in a normal bag including my laptop and some cables. I use it only for live control (using a script for Bitwig) and solos (using Divisimate mapping) but as the size is important for me a screen will take some space and the device needs to grow I am afraid.
Hi, thanks for your interest! Great question. When you move a fader on the Launchkey (or most MIDI controllers), it will immediately send a MIDI CC reflecting the physical position of the fader. This means you might notice a “jump” if the parameter you’re controlling with a certain fader doesn’t initially match the fader’s position. There are workarounds for this in many DAWs - in Ableton Live, for example, you can go into your MIDI preferences and set the Takeover Mode to “pick-up” or “value scaling.” Either of these modes will eliminate those abrupt value changes in slightly different ways. I hope this helps a bit - feel free to contact me directly with any further questions, and thanks again! Caleb Lowrey, Sweetwater Sales Engineer, (800) 222-4700 ext. 1620, caleb_lowrey@sweetwater.com

Thanks very helpful appreciated
Exactly the info I was looking for that controller. Thanks.
Awesome video man ty for the upload!

Then you’ll probably will have to wait 3+ years minimum
Waiting on the SL Mk4... This one is dope though!
Looks sick! Same screen as Ableton Move. One day these controllers will have similar standalone functionality, but for now, looks rad!

The layout of the controller is awesome. If only it had polyphonic aftertouch, or even regular aftertouch it would be perfect!

Are the faders sensitive to control volume exactly? Or they do still jump volume values?
