you lift your fingers way off the keys and tilt to the side. a lot of people make bad habits like this when they start out. what i would do is if youre not practicing long tones or over tones already then id start now, but as im doing that i would continuously think about keeping your fingers right above the keys maybe a 2/3 cm to a cm but closer the better and keep the curve in your hand. this will help when you play more technical stuff. relaxed wrist and curved hands will help with your palm keys and side aux fingerings. as for sitting up strait i would put my mouthpiece on almost in line with my octive key or the half way line on the bottom of the neck. that way the instrument moves to you instead of you moving to the instrument. i know gear is nice but its good to practice a few hours a day on fundamentals before spending money thinking thats the answer. it is a big investment and although you need a good set up to start out on it needs to be simple so you can figure those other things i talked about earlier and tone. listening to one jazz musician and playing along will help these things tremendously. try someone like freddy hubberd at first to develop that ear so you can keep up. later on you can go for people like cole trane and cannonball. "as always have a great day and go practice👍"
