    That's the best lift design I've seen! Great Job!

    Just found a bunch of them, just as you said, and the Streeter Super for "only" $995.00, was closest to yours. One suggestion for your wayward cables if I may mention it. Attach the old style screen door springs to the base rail, and the other end to the cable, so each side has it's own spring to pull the slack out your cable towards the pivot point of the lift. The springs are long enough to extend out as the cables are pulled into the up position. Thanks for the info. I think I can make something similar to yours, or Streeter's, by making it out of wood, first, to get the lengths of the frames right. Then put into a steel frame... I like it. Hope you win a lot, those are pretty well designed machines! Can't imagine your costs.

      Gene Sloan Win.. Well I try lol yeah its pretty simple to build but you do have to get the measurements right. I thought about using springs but just opted for the winch instead

    Very much to learn... racing, I'm probably too old for that, at 64, I classify myself in the same category as "older than dirt" lol.. I love the Briggs opposed... I've got 3 on my own risers, plus 4 in the wings awaiting a turn on the outdoors. I had no idea they could be so powerful. Love them in all that great exhaust awesomeness! Great sound.

    Thanks, just figuring stock rider would be heavier, I'd build it accordingly. Also I really appreciate your info....hope to keep seeing the racing exploits of you and others. I cant physically do it, but enjoy the mods...thanks, hope you have success in the races...wish they were televised.

      Gene Sloan I tried uploading a video last night but my internet went down and it never uploaded. Going to try to upload it again now that my internet is fixed. Thanks for watching and you can also follow my page on Facebook. 👍

    I like it. I follow your activity.... totally in awe with its simplicity. And I work on riders , mostly my own. I have always wanted something like a scissor lift, never could seem to make it happen. This one you have appears to be minimal in construction. If I had the details of that 2nd lift leg, I believe I could make it. Easier design than a scissor lift. And what i like is you have total access to anywhere under the rider. Is this type of lift have a name where I might find a reference to it on the web? And thanks for answering, no one has ever done that at other vlogs.

      Gene Sloan No problem. I always strive to make sure to answer any and all questions. That's the whole purpose of my channel is to give feed back and to learn new things. I actual got the idea from racing go karts. These lifts are available to buy for use with racing go karts. Just search racing go kart lift on Google and you will find tons. But they are around $500 or more and will still have to be modified to lift a mower. I thought Heck I could build one of those so I did lol much much cheaper. And if you buy a hand crank instead of a winch it would be cheaper yet. My next build will be with a hand crank.

    Well, I was referring to the back anchor cables. By attaching a long screen door spring to each of those cables they wouldn't ever be in the way. I have a winch I bought at TSC. you probably already devised z way to keep those cables out of the way of the wheels of the frame. One question, about much less does your racing riders weigh compared to a factory stock rider?

      Gene Sloan oh ok. They are not too far off really. The average racer mower with driver is around 500 lbs or less. Id say mine weighs around 300 lbs without driver

    That works good as hell! I'd like to do one but with more of a motorcycle lift type of thing - maybe a lift like yours but with a flat top and some pegs that hold the mower off of it however tall i want it off the table/stand/lift lol -- maybe have them with bolts so i can screw in different lengths for whatever. I think the flat table surface would stabilize it a bit more and give the stand something better to lift from that can do more than one thing - go kart / racing mower / 4 wheeler / dirt bike and so on - I'd probably have it so there's mower engine plate in the middle - so when I'm working on engines, i don't have to work on them on the floor so my work bench stays clean! Anyways, just thoughts!

    Is there plans for the lift ? I'd love that in my shop.

      Gene Sloan Not that I'm aware of but there might be on the old interwebs. I just looked at a few and then winged it. I plan on making another one and making a build video.

    Is their a reason you prefer to lift from the front? I see most lift from the rear bumper

      @haulngrassracing  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Don Raabe nope no real reason. I can lift it from the back as well. Just seemed natural to lift it from the front 👍
