Great game. I have the pro version, bought it brand new when it came out. I still have it and won't ever get rid of it. Theme is great and the shots are great. I have modded mine to some degree including the color screen. It completely changes the game it looks terrific!
Howdy, 👋
I just posted about my _surprisingly_ GLORIOUS first time playin it today & you seem to share my enthusiasm.
Can you please tell me what the key differences are between the Pro & Premium?
I’m not new to pinball but am _relatively_ new to home ownership. I own a mint Simpsons Pinball Party-single-owner (HUO) that had 300 plays on it, and recently bought a new JP Premium (Elwin’s masterpiece, IMO).
But after TODAY?? 👀 😮💨 I don’t want … I *NEED* GHOSTBUSTERS!! 😅✌️
BTW, loved that powder coating on your mate's pin. Excellent choice of color.
I bought one of these a few weeks back but haven’t managed to get it in the house yet 😫 not stopped me from buying mods lol
Can’t wait to play it!
I really like my GB when I had it, but I ended up getting rid of it because I hated the stop and go traffic whenever I hit the scoop. It had a lot of cool toys and gimmicks and I loved that subway shot and Stern getting Ernie Hudson to do the callouts of the game was top notch. The pin also had the reverse flippers mode in it when you collected enough ghosts (which was really cool), but I hated the idea the flippers went back to normal during multiball whenever you hit a certain target which made it very confusing. Still, I wouldn't mind seeing it back in my collection one day.
I quite enjoyed that mode actually.
Never played it but I absolutely love how packed the back of the playfield is with all that city detail. Really does justice to the theme in my opinion.
Played this very machine at Pinfest this year. Was absolutely amazing! None of the common complaints you hear about it. If it’s set up right it’s a winner. People who dumped their early orders really really missed out.
Ghostbusters is AMAZING. I do like the pro better but I love the theme, layout, artwork, callouts, and flow. It's a little challenging at first but the game is so rewarding when you get it down. This game is so under rated. People hated on it because of the magnaslings and flipper gap. Get the pro and you won't regret it.
Color DMD and Stern Tioppee is a must!!!
yes Color DMD is a must
Only ever played this on location and before realy reading anything about it. I really enjoyed it.. Fun pin.. Hard as nails but I was engaged all the time and kept playing (unlike things like Led Zeplin Pro and CSI that just induced a coma)
It’s a great game. The code updates helped this game SO much. The ball saves and extra balls are more than generous.
for real
Being new to pinball ownership, if there’s one things Ie learned is don’t take reviews too seriously. The right game for you is the one that you’re drawn too. The one that has the theme and gameplay that you’re interested in is always a good choice regardless of reviews. Play them all and pick the one that resonates with you.
Played it for the first time about a week ago. It was a bit fun, but confusing. That magnet thing did throw me off a bit, but it's an interesting addition.
Hey Gonz, something nice just watching these videos outside the WestHam Circle, looking forward to watching the "Pinball, The man that saved the game" Film Later! I Just wanted to say keep up the good work mate!
Afternoon mate, thanks so much. I really appreciate your support.
I've not watched that documentary yet but hope to this week..
I just got home from a whole day of flippin at a well-stocked pin bar/restaurant (they even had a Pulp there, which I just haven’t seen in the wild).
That to say this: I was there to sample many of the new pins & ponder what my next one may be.
Amongst ALL the top-rated pins there sat a Ghostbusters Premium off in a corner. I’d never played it and am not a fan of the movie/theme. Once I plunged Ball 2, I felt my senses overloading (in a GREAT way); I couldn’t believe how many ball-paths there were; the haptic feedback w shaker was intense; the MECHS & SHOTS & COLOR DMD & SOUND & a green goblin swingin around on a CRANE; MAG SLINGSHOTS 👀; the HOLOGRAMS?!! The ball diving UNDER & BACK in a SUBWAY?!! 🤯🤯
HOLY MOSES! What an EXPERIENCE! Gonzo here nailed MY first word after game one: **FUN!!** I’ve NOT had that much pure FUN on ANY pin, boy! 😮💨
☝️ THIS WILL BE *MY* next pin, god willin! 🥳
Great game and a lot of fun. I purchased mine new and am glad I never sold it. The best score for me is 3.2 billion. Once you get the game going, the score really jumps. After almost 7 years now, it's still one of my favorite games. Everyone enjoys playing this game that comes over.
i hit 4.8 billion on a 3 ball with extra balls....even i was surprised at my score
God damn, this makes Walking Dead look easy!
There's not a lot in it to be honest.
Super wow pinball!
It usually has normal sized flippers but the designer seems to like a bigger gap, he who just not be named also did Congo and Creature which also have a bigger flipper gap than the standard gap the rest of the WPC games had.
I think the clippers Jon has installed are custom ones that are longer than normal flippers.
If you put lighting flippers on Ghostbusters I imagine it would be hell🤣
Fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My first pin was a GB Pro. Loved it for all the time I spent with it. Hope you get a chance to check out Are you a God? mode. One of the coolest wizard modes I’ve ever played.
I'm afraid I never did. I borrows the game for a couple of months.
@@GonzosPinballFlipperama if you still have the game you can go into the settings and choose this one game mode to play. While you’re in the settings, change the clock time to about 2 minutes before midnight and play a normal game. Once it hits midnight you will get a nice treat.

Wow
Love the look of the game. You demonstrated very well why people hate it, though. (I know I would to if it was in my collection). Can't have a game that expensive just because it's pretty.
OK yeah there’s absolutely something wrong with changing the flippers that’s not played how the designer intended I can understand cosmetic mods for sure, but you had extended flippers that changes the game
All the scores placed on that table are bunk
To be fair that designers got more pressing problems than people not playing his game as he intended 😬
@@GonzosPinballFlipperama touché looks over to Prince Andrew
😆🤦♂️
@@matthewmorton7386 🤣
Maybe the designer should’ve made a good game lol
When are you going to review the sink like a rock school of diving pinball machine mate 😂
No finer place to sink Richie
Beautiful machine. You ever play it at midnight?
I never did because of my children. The scream effect on it was so loud that it was never played after bedtime 😂
@@GonzosPinballFlipperama haha. There's a special multiball that happens at midnight
It really is the original flipper gap, it's so large it hits a bumper up top and shots straight down for a drain so often I hate this machine. I can see why this guy extended the flippers but we shouldn't have to.
i hate the Scoleri Brothers too
Agreed, it really spoils the game.
I can’t even understand this guy
