To me the next number 1 guy could have been Dragunov. In NXT he was the man. He was a guy who could put on good matches, wasn't bad on the mic and could play face or heel. Though lets be honest here... it really should have been Chad Gable. How they managed to mess that up I have no idea.
I really think Oba could be one of the best guys they have in future. I never got the winged eagle it just wasnt one i grew up with personally. My favourite is the the Undisputed Title they had from 2002-2005 thats my favourite one and i will say nothing has been better since especially not the spinner title

Cody should get a custom title that is inspired by the Winged Eagle but also taking some elements of the American Nightmare estetic if he makes it to a year with the title.
I think fans are more liable to turn on a pushed performer and get bored faster if they’re not good in ring. That’s not to say the company will stop pushing them, but I think in the modern era it’s much harder to be a sustained main eventer while lacking in the ring
I could see a network pick up TNA if they gained more attention, especially now that WWE is on Netflix (except NXT on CW). Maybe if TNA is purchased by WWE or pulled under their umbrella, they'll get a network slot.
