  • Happy 4th of July everyone. Take some time to enjoy yourselves today with your families! For those of you watching, I had a great day on the creeks, with the micro Ned rig. Got a surprise smallmouth, 4 other species, and a great largemouth to end it!
The summer heat has the creeks low, but they’re still the only spots producing fish for me.
    Thanks for watching folks!

Good video, happy 4th from us up here in Canada. Nice med rig action. I never really got into ned rigs. Just typically use standard jig heads and grubs or double tails. Or spoons. Like I posted in the group.

Its a mini Ned rig I was using. In the summer, going small helps

I've been thinking of hand lining a Ned rig! I'll have to try it, seems like it worked for you! What size jig was that?

That was their micro finesse shroom from Zman. I think like 1/16oz

I've hand lined fished for years now and don't use a rod, but I use a 6in Cuban yoyo , similar to a hobo reel but better retrieve speed . But any rig that consolidates the weight at the end of the line when casting works great . Slip bobber ,drop shot, swim baits, knocker rigs and kast masters seem to work the best . Ned rig should work great . I was just slaying creek trout with a 1/8 cast master and will be going next weekend for California halibut ,rockfish and lingcod using scaled up rigging . Find what works for you and you'll do great .
